8:14 イエスはペトロの家に行き、そのしゅうとめが熱を出して寝込んでいるのを御覧になった。

8:15 イエスがその手に触れられると、熱は去り、しゅうとめは起き上がってイエスをもてなした。

8:16 夕方になると、人々は悪霊に取りつかれた者を大勢連れて来た。イエスは言葉で悪霊を追い出し、病人を皆いやされた。

8:17 それは、預言者イザヤを通して言われていたことが実現するためであった。「彼はわたしたちの患いを負い、／わたしたちの病を担った。」

8:14 Jesus went to Peter's home, and there he saw Peter's mother-in-law sick in bed with a fever.

8:15 He touched her hand; the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.

8:16 When evening came, people brought to Jesus many who had demons in them. Jesus drove out the evil spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.

8:17 He did this to make come true what the prophet Isaiah had said, "He himself took our sickness and carried away our diseases."
