16:22 すると、ペトロはイエスをわきへお連れして、いさめ始めた。「主よ、とんでもないことです。そんなことがあってはなりません。」

16:23 イエスは振り向いてペトロに言われた。「サタン、引き下がれ。あなたはわたしの邪魔をする者。神のことを思わず、人間のことを思っている。」

16:24 それから、弟子たちに言われた。「わたしについて来たい者は、自分を捨て、自分の十字架を背負って、わたしに従いなさい。

16:25 自分の命を救いたいと思う者は、それを失うが、わたしのために命を失う者は、それを得る。

16:26 人は、たとえ全世界を手に入れても、自分の命を失ったら、何の得があろうか。自分の命を買い戻すのに、どんな代価を支払えようか。

16:27 人の子は、父の栄光に輝いて天使たちと共に来るが、そのとき、それぞれの行いに応じて報いるのである。

16:28 はっきり言っておく。ここに一緒にいる人々の中には、人の子がその国と共に来るのを見るまでは、決して死なない者がいる。」

16:22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "God forbid it, Lord!" he said. "That must never happen to you!"

16:23 Jesus turned around and said to Peter, "Get away from me, Satan! You are an obstacle in my way, because these thoughts of yours don't come from God, but from human nature."

16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If any of you want to come with me, you must forget yourself, carry your cross, and follow me.

16:25 For if you want to save your own life, you will lose it; but if you lose your life for my sake, you will find it.

16:26 Will you gain anything if you win the whole world but lose your life? Of course not! There is nothing you can give to regain your life.

16:27 For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will reward each one according to his deeds.

16:28 I assure you that there are some here who will not die until they have seen the Son of Man come as King."
