2:6 キリストは、神のかたちであられたが、神と等しくあることを固守すべき事とは思わず、

2:7 かえって、おのれをむなしうして僕のかたちをとり、人間の姿になられた。その有様は人と異ならず、

2:8 おのれを低くして、死に至るまで、しかも十字架の死に至るまで従順であられた。

2:9 それゆえに、神は彼を高く引き上げ、すべての名にまさる名を彼に賜わった。

2:10 それは、イエスの御名によって、天上のもの、地上のもの、地下のものなど、あらゆるものがひざをかがめ、

2:5 あなたがたの間では、そのような心構えでいなさい。それはキリスト・イエスのうちにも見られるものです。

2:6 キリストは、神の御姿であられる方なのに、神のあり方を捨てることができないとは考えないで、

2:8 キリストは人としての性質をもって現われ、自分を卑しくし、死にまで従い、実に十字架の死にまでも従われたのです。

2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

2:6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

2:7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

2:11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

2:5 The attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus had:

2:6 He always had the nature of God, /but he did not think that by force he should try to remain equal with God.

2:7 Instead of this, of his own free will he gave up all he had, /and took the nature of a servant. /He became like a human being /and appeared in human likeness.

2:8 He was humble and walked the path of obedience all the way to death- /his death on the cross.

2:9 For this reason God raised him to the highest place above /and gave him the name that is greater than any other name.

2:10 And so, in honor of the name of Jesus /all beings in heaven, on earth, and in the world below /will fall on their knees,

2:11 and all will openly proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, /to the glory of God the Father.
