1:21 あなたがたは、以前は神から離れ、悪い行いによって心の中で神に敵対していました。

1:22 しかし今や、神は御子の肉の体において、その死によってあなたがたと和解し、御自身の前に聖なる者、きずのない者、とがめるところのない者としてくださいました。

1:23 ただ、揺るぐことなく信仰に踏みとどまり、あなたがたが聞いた福音の希望から離れてはなりません。この福音は、世界中至るところの人々に宣べ伝えられており、わたしパウロは、それに仕える者とされました。

1:21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled

1:22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight-

1:23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

1:21 At one time you were far away from God and were his enemies because of the evil things you did and thought.

1:22 But now, by means of the physical death of his Son, God has made you his friends, in order to bring you, holy, pure, and faultless, into his presence.

1:23 You must, of course, continue faithful on a firm and sure foundation, and must not allow yourselves to be shaken from the hope you gained when you heard the gospel. It is of this gospel that I, Paul, became a servant-this gospel which has been preached to everybody in the world.
