4:4 わたしがしかるべく語って、この計画を明らかにできるように祈ってください。

4:5 時をよく用い、外部の人に対して賢くふるまいなさい。

4:6 いつも、塩で味付けされた快い言葉で語りなさい。そうすれば、一人一人にどう答えるべきかが分かるでしょう。

4:7 わたしの様子については、ティキコがすべてを話すことでしょう。彼は主に結ばれた、愛する兄弟、忠実に仕える者、仲間の僕です。

4:8 彼をそちらに送るのは、あなたがたがわたしたちの様子を知り、彼によって心が励まされるためなのです。

4:4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

4:5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.

4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

4:7 Tychicus, a beloved brother, faithful minister, and fellow servant in the Lord, will tell you all the news about me.
