4:39 さて、その町の多くのサマリア人は、「この方が、わたしの行ったことをすべて言い当てました」と証言した女の言葉によって、イエスを信じた。

4:40 そこで、このサマリア人たちはイエスのもとにやって来て、自分たちのところにとどまるようにと頼んだ。イエスは、二日間そこに滞在された。

4:41 そして、更に多くの人々が、イエスの言葉を聞いて信じた。

4:42 彼らは女に言った。「わたしたちが信じるのは、もうあなたが話してくれたからではない。わたしたちは自分で聞いて、この方が本当に世の救い主であると分かったからです。」

4:39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, "He told me all that I ever did."

4:40 So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.

4:41 And many more believed because of His own word.

4:42 Then they said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world."

4:39 Many of the Samaritans in that town believed in Jesus because the woman had said, "He told me everything I have ever done."

4:40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they begged him to stay with them, and Jesus stayed there two days.

4:41 Many more believed because of his message,

4:42 and they told the woman, "We believe now, not because of what you said, but because we ourselves have heard him, and we know that he really is the Savior of the world."
