38:14 わたしの耳は聞こえないかのように／聞こうとしません。口は話せないかのように、開こうとしません。

38:15 わたしは聞くことのできない者／口に抗議する力もない者となりました。

38:16 主よ、わたしはなお、あなたを待ち望みます。わたしの主よ、わたしの神よ／御自身でわたしに答えてください。

38:17 わたしは願いました／「わたしの足がよろめくことのないように／彼らがそれを喜んで／尊大にふるまうことがないように」と。

38:18 わたしは今や、倒れそうになっています。苦痛を与えるものが常にわたしの前にあり

38:19 わたしは自分の罪悪を言い表そうとして／犯した過ちのゆえに苦悩しています。

38:20 わたしの敵は強大になり／わたしを憎む者らは偽りを重ね

38:21 善意に悪意をもってこたえます。わたしは彼らの幸いを願うのに／彼らは敵対するのです。

38:22 主よ、わたしを見捨てないでください。わたしの神よ、遠く離れないでください。

38:14 Thus I am like a man who does not hear,And in whose mouth is no response.

38:15 For in You, O Lord, I hope;You will hear, O Lord my God.

38:16 For I said, "Hear me, lest they rejoice over me,Lest, when my foot slips, they exalt themselves against me."

38:17 For I am ready to fall,And my sorrow is continually before me.

38:18 For I will declare my iniquity;I will be in anguish over my sin.

38:19 But my enemies are vigorous, and they are strong;And those who hate me wrongfully have multiplied.

38:20 Those also who render evil for good,They are my adversaries, because I follow what is good.

38:16 Don't let my enemies gloat over my distress; /don't let them boast about my downfall!

38:17 I am about to fall /and am in constant pain.

38:18 I confess my sins; /they fill me with anxiety.

38:19 My enemies are healthy and strong; /there are many who hate me for no reason.

38:20 Those who pay back evil for good /are against me because I try to do right.
