5:6 むなしい言葉に惑わされてはなりません。これらの行いのゆえに、神の怒りは不従順な者たちに下るのです。

5:7 だから、彼らの仲間に引き入れられないようにしなさい。

5:8 あなたがたは、以前には暗闇でしたが、今は主に結ばれて、光となっています。光の子として歩みなさい。

5:9 ――光から、あらゆる善意と正義と真実とが生じるのです。――

5:10 何が主に喜ばれるかを吟味しなさい。

5:11 実を結ばない暗闇の業に加わらないで、むしろ、それを明るみに出しなさい。

5:12 彼らがひそかに行っているのは、口にするのも恥ずかしいことなのです。

5:13 しかし、すべてのものは光にさらされて、明らかにされます。

5:14 明らかにされるものはみな、光となるのです。それで、こう言われています。「眠りについている者、起きよ。死者の中から立ち上がれ。そうすれば、キリストはあなたを照らされる。」

5:15 愚かな者としてではなく、賢い者として、細かく気を配って歩みなさい。

5:16 時をよく用いなさい。今は悪い時代なのです。

5:17 だから、無分別な者とならず、主の御心が何であるかを悟りなさい。

5:18 酒に酔いしれてはなりません。それは身を持ち崩すもとです。むしろ、霊に満たされ、

5:19 詩編と賛歌と霊的な歌によって語り合い、主に向かって心からほめ歌いなさい。

5:20 そして、いつも、あらゆることについて、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの名により、父である神に感謝しなさい。

ＴＥＶ エペ 5:6-20

5:6 Do not let anyone deceive you with foolish words; it is because of these very things that God's anger will come upon those who do not obey him.

5:7 So have nothing at all to do with such people.

5:8 You yourselves used to be in the darkness, but since you have become the Lord's people, you are in the light. So you must live like people who belong to the light,

5:9 for it is the light that brings a rich harvest of every kind of goodness, righteousness, and truth.

5:10 Try to learn what pleases the Lord.

5:11 Have nothing to do with the worthless things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light.

5:12 (It is really too shameful even to talk about the things they do in secret.)

5:13 And when all things are brought out to the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed;

5:14 for anything that is clearly revealed becomes light. That is why it is said, /"Wake up, sleeper, /and rise from death, /and Christ will shine on you."

5:15 So be careful how you live. Don't live like ignorant people, but like wise people.

5:16 Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days.

5:17 Don't be fools, then, but try to find out what the Lord wants you to do.

5:18 Do not get drunk with wine, which will only ruin you; instead, be filled with the Spirit.

5:19 Speak to one another with the words of psalms, hymns, and sacred songs; sing hymns and psalms to the Lord with praise in your hearts.

5:20 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, always give thanks for everything to God the Father.
