7:25 さて、エルサレムの人々の中には次のように言う者たちがいた。「これは、人々が殺そうとねらっている者ではないか。

7:26 あんなに公然と話しているのに、何も言われない。議員たちは、この人がメシアだということを、本当に認めたのではなかろうか。

7:27 しかし、わたしたちは、この人がどこの出身かを知っている。メシアが来られるときは、どこから来られるのか、だれも知らないはずだ。」

7:28 すると、神殿の境内で教えていたイエスは、大声で言われた。「あなたたちはわたしのことを知っており、また、どこの出身かも知っている。わたしは自分勝手に来たのではない。わたしをお遣わしになった方は真実であるが、あなたたちはその方を知らない。

7:29 わたしはその方を知っている。わたしはその方のもとから来た者であり、その方がわたしをお遣わしになったのである。」

7:30 人々はイエスを捕らえようとしたが、手をかける者はいなかった。イエスの時はまだ来ていなかったからである。

7:31 しかし、群衆の中にはイエスを信じる者が大勢いて、「メシアが来られても、この人よりも多くのしるしをなさるだろうか」と言った。

ＴＥＶ ヨハ 7:25-31

7:25 Some of the people of Jerusalem said, "Isn't this the man the authorities are trying to kill?

7:26 Look! He is talking in public, and they say nothing against him! Can it be that they really know that he is the Messiah?

7:27 But when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from. And we all know where this man comes from."

7:28 As Jesus taught in the Temple, he said in a loud voice, "Do you really know me and know where I am from? I have not come on my own authority. He who sent me, however, is truthful. You do not know him,

7:29 but I know him, because I come from him and he sent me."

7:30 Then they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.

7:31 But many in the crowd believed in him and said, "When the Messiah comes, will he perform more miracles than this man has?"
