16:1 神よ、わたしをお守りください。わたしはあなたに寄り頼みます。

16:2 わたしは主に言う、「あなたはわたしの主、あなたのほかにわたしの幸はない」と。

16:3 地にある聖徒は、すべてわたしの喜ぶすぐれた人々である。

16:4 おおよそ、ほかの神を選ぶ者は悲しみを増す。わたしは彼らのささげる血の灌祭を注がず、その名を口にとなえることをしない。

16:5 主はわたしの嗣業、またわたしの杯にうくべきもの。あなたはわたしの分け前を守られる。

16:6 測りなわは、わたしのために好ましい所に落ちた。まことにわたしは良い嗣業を得た。

16:1 Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.

16:2 O my soul, you have said to the Lord,"You are my Lord,My goodness is nothing apart from You."

16:3 As for the saints who are on the earth,"They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight."

16:4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god;Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer,Nor take up their names on my lips.

16:5 O Lord,You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;You maintain my lot.

16:6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;Yes, I have a good inheritance.

16:1 Protect me, O God; I trust in you for safety.

16:2 I say to the Lord, "You are my Lord; /all the good things I have come from you."

16:3 How excellent are the Lord's faithful people! /My greatest pleasure is to be with them.

16:4 Those who rush to other gods /bring many troubles on themselves. /I will not take part in their sacrifices; /I will not worship their gods.

16:5 You, Lord, are all I have, /and you give me all I need; /my future is in your hands.

16:6 How wonderful are your gifts to me; /how good they are!
