4:1 彼らが人々にこのように語っているあいだに、祭司たち、宮守がしら、サドカイ人たちが近寄ってきて、

4:2 彼らが人々に教を説き、イエス自身に起った死人の復活を宣伝しているのに気をいら立て、

4:3 彼らに手をかけて捕え、はや日が暮れていたので、翌朝まで留置しておいた。

4:4 しかし、彼らの話を聞いた多くの人たちは信じた。そして、その男の数が五千人ほどになった。

4:5 明くる日、役人、長老、律法学者たちが、エルサレムに召集された。

4:6 大祭司アンナスをはじめ、カヤパ、ヨハネ、アレキサンデル、そのほか大祭司の一族もみな集まった。

4:7 そして、そのまん中に使徒たちを立たせて尋問した、「あなたがたは、いったい、なんの権威、また、だれの名によって、このことをしたのか」。

4:8 その時、ペテロが聖霊に満たされて言った、「民の役人たち、ならびに長老たちよ、

4:9 わたしたちが、きょう、取調べを受けているのは、病人に対してした良いわざについてであり、この人がどうしていやされたかについてであるなら、

4:10 あなたがたご一同も、またイスラエルの人々全体も、知っていてもらいたい。この人が元気になってみんなの前に立っているのは、ひとえに、あなたがたが十字架につけて殺したのを、神が死人の中からよみがえらせたナザレ人イエス・キリストの御名によるのである。

4:11 このイエスこそは『あなたがた家造りらに捨てられたが、隅のかしら石となった石』なのである。

4:12 この人による以外に救はない。わたしたちを救いうる名は、これを別にしては、天下のだれにも与えられていないからである」。

4:13 人々はペテロとヨハネとの大胆な話しぶりを見、また同時に、ふたりが無学な、ただの人たちであることを知って、不思議に思った。そして彼らがイエスと共にいた者であることを認め、

4:14 かつ、彼らにいやされた者がそのそばに立っているのを見ては、まったく返す言葉がなかった。

4:15 そこで、ふたりに議会から退場するように命じてから、互に協議をつづけて

4:16 言った、「あの人たちを、どうしたらよかろうか。彼らによって著しいしるしが行われたことは、エルサレムの住民全体に知れわたっているので、否定しようもない。

4:17 ただ、これ以上このことが民衆の間にひろまらないように、今後はこの名によって、いっさいだれにも語ってはいけないと、おどしてやろうではないか」。

4:18 そこで、ふたりを呼び入れて、イエスの名によって語ることも説くことも、いっさい相成らぬと言いわたした。

4:19 ペテロとヨハネとは、これに対して言った、「神に聞き従うよりも、あなたがたに聞き従う方が、神の前に正しいかどうか、判断してもらいたい。

4:20 わたしたちとしては、自分の見たこと聞いたことを、語らないわけにはいかない」。

4:21 そこで、彼らはふたりを更におどしたうえ、ゆるしてやった。みんなの者が、この出来事のために、神をあがめていたので、その人々の手前、ふたりを罰するすべがなかったからである。

4:22 そのしるしによっていやされたのは、四十歳あまりの人であった。

4:1 彼らが民に話していると、祭司たち、宮の守衛長、またサドカイ人たちがやって来たが、

4:2 この人たちは、ペテロとヨハネが民を教え、イエスのことを例にあげて死者の復活を宣べ伝えているのに、困り果て、

4:3 彼らに手をかけて捕えた。そして翌日まで留置することにした。すでに夕方だったからである。

4:4 しかし、みことばを聞いた人々が大ぜい信じ、男の数が五千人ほどになった。

4:5 翌日、民の指導者、長老、学者たちは、エルサレムに集まった。

4:6 大祭司アンナス、カヤパ、ヨハネ、アレキサンデル、そのほか大祭司の一族もみな出席した。

4:7 彼らは使徒たちを真中に立たせて、「あなたがたは何の権威によって、また、だれの名によってこんなことをしたのか。」と尋問しだした。

4:8 そのとき、ペテロは聖霊に満たされて、彼らに言った。「民の指導者たち、ならびに長老の方々。

4:9 私たちがきょう取り調べられているのが、病人に行なった良いわざについてであり、その人が何によっていやされたか、ということのためであるなら、

4:10 皆さんも、またイスラエルのすべての人々も、よく知ってください。この人が直って、あなたがたの前に立っているのは、あなたがたが十字架につけ、神が死者の中からよみがえらせたナザレ人イエス・キリストの御名によるのです。

4:11 『あなたがた家を建てる者たちに捨てられた石が、礎の石となった。』というのはこの方のことです。

4:12 この方以外には、だれによっても救いはありません。世界中でこの御名のほかには、私たちが救われるべき名としては、どのような名も、人間に与えられていないからです。」

4:13 彼らはペテロとヨハネとの大胆さを見、またふたりが無学な、普通の人であるのを知って驚いたが、ふたりがイエスとともにいたのだ、ということがわかって来た。

4:14 そればかりでなく、いやされた人がふたりといっしょに立っているのを見ては、返すことばもなかった。

4:15 彼らはふたりに議会から退場するように命じ、そして互いに協議した。

4:16 彼らは言った。「あの人たちをどうしよう。あの人たちによって著しいしるしが行なわれたことは、エルサレムの住民全部に知れ渡っているから、われわれはそれを否定できない。

4:17 しかし、これ以上民の間に広がらないために、今後だれにもこの名によって語ってはならないと、彼らをきびしく戒めよう。」

4:18 そこで彼らを呼んで、いっさいイエスの名によって語ったり教えたりしてはならない、と命じた。

4:19 ペテロとヨハネは彼らに答えて言った。「神に聞き従うより、あなたがたに聞き従うほうが、神の前に正しいかどうか、判断してください。

4:20 私たちは、自分の見たこと、また聞いたことを、話さないわけにはいきません。」

4:21 そこで、彼らはふたりをさらにおどしたうえで、釈放した。それはみなの者が、この出来事のゆえに神をあがめていたので、人々の手前、ふたりを罰するすべがなかったからである。

4:22 この奇蹟によっていやされた男は四十歳余りであった。

4:1 ペトロとヨハネが民衆に話をしていると、祭司たち、神殿守衛長、サドカイ派の人々が近づいて来た。

4:2 二人が民衆に教え、イエスに起こった死者の中からの復活を宣べ伝えているので、彼らはいらだち、

4:3 二人を捕らえて翌日まで牢に入れた。既に日暮れだったからである。

4:4 しかし、二人の語った言葉を聞いて信じた人は多く、男の数が五千人ほどになった。

4:5 次の日、議員、長老、律法学者たちがエルサレムに集まった。

4:6 大祭司アンナスとカイアファとヨハネとアレクサンドロと大祭司一族が集まった。

4:7 そして、使徒たちを真ん中に立たせて、「お前たちは何の権威によって、だれの名によってああいうことをしたのか」と尋問した。

4:8 そのとき、ペトロは聖霊に満たされて言った。「民の議員、また長老の方々、

4:9 今日わたしたちが取り調べを受けているのは、病人に対する善い行いと、その人が何によっていやされたかということについてであるならば、

4:10 あなたがたもイスラエルの民全体も知っていただきたい。この人が良くなって、皆さんの前に立っているのは、あなたがたが十字架につけて殺し、神が死者の中から復活させられたあのナザレの人、イエス・キリストの名によるものです。

4:11 この方こそ、／『あなたがた家を建てる者に捨てられたが、／隅の親石となった石』／です。

4:12 ほかのだれによっても、救いは得られません。わたしたちが救われるべき名は、天下にこの名のほか、人間には与えられていないのです。」

4:13 議員や他の者たちは、ペトロとヨハネの大胆な態度を見、しかも二人が無学な普通の人であることを知って驚き、また、イエスと一緒にいた者であるということも分かった。

4:14 しかし、足をいやしていただいた人がそばに立っているのを見ては、ひと言も言い返せなかった。

4:15 そこで、二人に議場を去るように命じてから、相談して、

4:16 言った。「あの者たちをどうしたらよいだろう。彼らが行った目覚ましいしるしは、エルサレムに住むすべての人に知れ渡っており、それを否定することはできない。

4:17 しかし、このことがこれ以上民衆の間に広まらないように、今後あの名によってだれにも話すなと脅しておこう。」

4:18 そして、二人を呼び戻し、決してイエスの名によって話したり、教えたりしないようにと命令した。

4:19 しかし、ペトロとヨハネは答えた。「神に従わないであなたがたに従うことが、神の前に正しいかどうか、考えてください。

4:20 わたしたちは、見たことや聞いたことを話さないではいられないのです。」

4:21 議員や他の者たちは、二人を更に脅してから釈放した。皆の者がこの出来事について神を賛美していたので、民衆を恐れて、どう処罰してよいか分からなかったからである。

4:22 このしるしによっていやしていただいた人は、四十歳を過ぎていた。

ＮＫＪＶ 使  4:1-22

4:1 Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them,

4:2 being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

4:3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening.

4:4 However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

4:5 And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes,

4:6 as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

4:7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, "By what power or by what name have you done this?"

4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel:

4:9 "If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well,

4:10 "let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.

4:11 "This is the 'stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.'

4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

4:14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

4:15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

4:16 saying, "What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.

4:17 "But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name."

4:18 And they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

4:19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.

4:20 "For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."

4:21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done.

4:22 For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed.

ＴＥＶ 使  4:1-22

4:1 Peter and John were still speaking to the people when some priests, the officer in charge of the Temple guards, and some Sadducees arrived.

4:2 They were annoyed because the two apostles were teaching the people that Jesus had risen from death, which proved that the dead will rise to life.

4:3 So they arrested them and put them in jail until the next day, since it was already late.

4:4 But many who heard the message believed; and the number grew to about five thousand.

4:5 The next day the Jewish leaders, the elders, and the teachers of the Law gathered in Jerusalem.

4:6 They met with the High Priest Annas and with Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and the others who belonged to the High Priest's family.

4:7 They made the apostles stand before them and asked them, "How did you do this? What power do you have or whose name did you use?"

4:8 Peter, full of the Holy Spirit, answered them, "Leaders of the people and elders:

4:9 if we are being questioned today about the good deed done to the lame man and how he was healed,

4:10 then you should all know, and all the people of Israel should know, that this man stands here before you completely well through the power of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth-whom you crucified and whom God raised from death.

4:11 Jesus is the one of whom the scripture says, /"The stone that you the builders despised /turned out to be the most important of all.'

4:12 Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us."

4:13 The members of the Council were amazed to see how bold Peter and John were and to learn that they were ordinary men of no education. They realized then that they had been companions of Jesus.

4:14 But there was nothing that they could say, because they saw the man who had been healed standing there with Peter and John.

4:15 So they told them to leave the Council room, and then they started discussing among themselves.

4:16 "What shall we do with these men?" they asked. "Everyone in Jerusalem knows that this extraordinary miracle has been performed by them, and we cannot deny it.

4:17 But to keep this matter from spreading any further among the people, let us warn these men never again to speak to anyone in the name of Jesus."

4:18 So they called them back in and told them that under no condition were they to speak or to teach in the name of Jesus.

4:19 But Peter and John answered them, "You yourselves judge which is right in God's sight-to obey you or to obey God.

4:20 For we cannot stop speaking of what we ourselves have seen and heard."

4:21 So the Council warned them even more strongly and then set them free. They saw that it was impossible to punish them, because the people were all praising God for what had happened.

4:22 The man on whom this miracle of healing had been performed was over forty years old.
