「主は生きている」

4章1-12

新共同 エレ 4:1-12

4:1 「立ち帰れ、イスラエルよ」と／主は言われる。「わたしのもとに立ち帰れ。呪うべきものをわたしの前から捨て去れ。そうすれば、再び迷い出ることはない。」

4:2 もし、あなたが真実と公平と正義をもって／「主は生きておられる」と誓うなら／諸国の民は、あなたを通して祝福を受け／あなたを誇りとする。

4:3 まことに、主はユダの人、エルサレムの人に／向かって、こう言われる。「あなたたちの耕作地を開拓せよ。茨の中に種を蒔くな。

4:4 ユダの人、エルサレムに住む人々よ／割礼を受けて主のものとなり／あなたたちの心の包皮を取り去れ。さもなければ、あなたたちの悪行のゆえに／わたしの怒りは火のように発して燃え広がり／消す者はないであろう。」

◆北からの敵

4:5 ユダに知らせよ、エルサレムに告げて言え。国中に角笛を吹き鳴らし、大声で叫べ／そして言え。「集まって、城塞に逃れよう。

4:6 シオンに向かって旗を揚げよ。避難せよ、足を止めるな」と。わたしは北から災いを／大いなる破壊をもたらす。

4:7 獅子はその茂みを後にして上り／諸国の民を滅ぼす者は出陣した。あなたの国を荒廃させるため／彼は自分の国を出た。あなたの町々は滅ぼされ、住む者はいなくなる。

4:8 それゆえに、粗布をまとい／嘆き、泣き叫べ。主の激しい怒りは我々を去らない。

4:9 その日が来れば、と主は言われる。王も高官も勇気を失い／祭司は心挫け、預言者はひるみ

4:10 言うであろう。「ああ、主なる神よ。まことに、あなたはこの民とエルサレムを／欺かれました。『あなたたちに平和が訪れる』と約束されたのに／剣が喉もとに突きつけられています。」

4:11 そのときには、この民とエルサレムに告げられる。「荒れ野から裸の山々の熱風が／わが民の娘に向かって吹きつける。ふるい分ける風でも、清める風でもない。

4:12 それにまさる激しい風が／わたしのもとから吹きつける。今やわたしは彼らに裁きを下す。」

ＴＥＶ エレ 4:1-12

4:1 The Lord says, "People of Israel, if you want to turn, then turn back to me. If you are faithful to me and remove the idols I hate,

4:2 it will be right for you to swear by my name. Then all the nations will ask me to bless them, and they will praise me."

4:3 The Lord says to the people of Judah and Jerusalem, "Plow up your unplowed fields; do not plant your seeds among thorns.

4:4 Keep your covenant with me, your Lord, and dedicate yourselves to me, you people of Judah and Jerusalem. If you don't, my anger will burn like fire because of the evil things you have done. It will burn, and there will be no one to put it out."

4:5 Blow the trumpet throughout the land! /Shout loud and clear! /Tell the people of Judah and Jerusalem /to run to the fortified cities.

4:6 Point the way to Zion! /Run for safety! Don't delay! /The Lord is bringing disaster /and great destruction from the north.

4:7 Like a lion coming from its hiding place, /a destroyer of nations has set out. /He is coming to destroy Judah. /The cities of Judah will be left in ruins, /and no one will live in them.

4:8 So put on sackcloth, and weep and wail /because the fierce anger of the Lord /has not turned away from Judah.

4:9 The Lord said, "On that day kings and officials will lose their courage; priests will be shocked and prophets will be astonished."

4:10 Then I said, "Sovereign Lord, you have completely deceived the people of Jerusalem! You have said there would be peace, but a sword is at their throats."

4:11 The time is coming when the people of Jerusalem will be told that a scorching wind is blowing in from the desert toward them. It will not be a gentle wind that only blows away the chaff-

4:12 the wind that comes at the Lord's command will be much stronger than that! It is the Lord himself who is pronouncing judgment on his people.
