3:1 こういうわけで、あなたがた異邦人のためにキリスト・イエスの囚人となっているわたしパウロは……。

3:2 あなたがたのために神がわたしに恵みをお与えになった次第について、あなたがたは聞いたにちがいありません。

3:3 初めに手短に書いたように、秘められた計画が啓示によってわたしに知らされました。

3:4 あなたがたは、それを読めば、キリストによって実現されるこの計画を、わたしがどのように理解しているかが分かると思います。

3:5 この計画は、キリスト以前の時代には人の子らに知らされていませんでしたが、今や“霊”によって、キリストの聖なる使徒たちや預言者たちに啓示されました。

3:6 すなわち、異邦人が福音によってキリスト・イエスにおいて、約束されたものをわたしたちと一緒に受け継ぐ者、同じ体に属する者、同じ約束にあずかる者となるということです。

3:7 神は、その力を働かせてわたしに恵みを賜り、この福音に仕える者としてくださいました。

3:8 この恵みは、聖なる者たちすべての中で最もつまらない者であるわたしに与えられました。わたしは、この恵みにより、キリストの計り知れない富について、異邦人に福音を告げ知らせており、

3:9 すべてのものをお造りになった神の内に世の初めから隠されていた秘められた計画が、どのように実現されるのかを、すべての人々に説き明かしています。

ＴＥＶ エペ 3:1-9

3:1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles, pray to God.

3:2 Surely you have heard that God in his grace has given me this work to do for your good.

3:3 God revealed his secret plan and made it known to me. (I have written briefly about this,

3:4 and if you will read what I have written, you can learn about my understanding of the secret of Christ.)

3:5 In past times human beings were not told this secret, but God has revealed it now by the Spirit to his holy apostles and prophets.

3:6 The secret is that by means of the gospel the Gentiles have a part with the Jews in God's blessings; they are members of the same body and share in the promise that God made through Christ Jesus.

3:7 I was made a servant of the gospel by God's special gift, which he gave me through the working of his power.

3:8 I am less than the least of all God's people; yet God gave me this privilege of taking to the Gentiles the Good News about the infinite riches of Christ,

3:9 and of making all people see how God's secret plan is to be put into effect. God, who is the Creator of all things, kept his secret hidden through all the past ages,
