31:1 モーセは全イスラエルの前に歩み出て、これらの言葉を告げた後、

31:2 こう言った。「わたしは今日、既に百二十歳であり、もはや自分の務めを果たすことはできない。主はわたしに対して、『あなたはこのヨルダン川を渡ることができない』と言われた。

31:3 あなたの神、主御自身があなたに先立って渡り、あなたの前からこれらの国々を滅ぼして、それを得させてくださる。主が約束されたとおり、ヨシュアがあなたに先立って渡る。

31:4 主は、アモリ人の王であるシホンとオグおよび彼らの国にされたように、彼らを滅ぼされる。

31:5 主が彼らをあなたたちに引き渡されるから、わたしが命じたすべての戒めに従って彼らに行いなさい。

31:6 強く、また雄々しくあれ。恐れてはならない。彼らのゆえにうろたえてはならない。あなたの神、主は、あなたと共に歩まれる。あなたを見放すことも、見捨てられることもない。」

31:7 モーセはそれからヨシュアを呼び寄せ、全イスラエルの前で彼に言った。「強く、また雄々しくあれ。あなたこそ、主が先祖たちに与えると誓われた土地にこの民を導き入れる者である。あなたが彼らにそれを受け継がせる。

31:8 主御自身があなたに先立って行き、主御自身があなたと共におられる。主はあなたを見放すことも、見捨てられることもない。恐れてはならない。おののいてはならない。」

ＴＥＶ 申  31:1-8

31:1 Moses continued speaking to the people of Israel,

31:2 and said, "I am now a hundred and twenty years old and am no longer able to be your leader. And besides this, the Lord has told me that I will not cross the Jordan.

31:3 The Lord your God himself will go before you and destroy the nations living there, so that you can occupy their land; and Joshua will be your leader, as the Lord has said.

31:4 The Lord will destroy those people, just as he defeated Sihon and Og, kings of the Amorites, and destroyed their country.

31:5 The Lord will give you victory over them, and you are to treat them exactly as I have told you.

31:6 Be determined and confident. Do not be afraid of them. Your God, the Lord himself, will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you."

31:7 Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the presence of all the people of Israel, "Be determined and confident; you are the one who will lead these people to occupy the land that the Lord promised to their ancestors.

31:8 The Lord himself will lead you and be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you, so do not lose courage or be afraid."
