31:15 主は雲の柱のうちに幕屋に現れられた。雲の柱は幕屋の入り口にとどまった。

31:16 主はモーセに言われた。「あなたは間もなく先祖と共に眠る。するとこの民は直ちに、入って行く土地で、その中の外国の神々を求めて姦淫を行い、わたしを捨てて、わたしが民と結んだ契約を破るであろう。

31:17 その日、この民に対してわたしの怒りは燃え、わたしは彼らを捨て、わたしの顔を隠す。民は焼き尽くされることになり、多くの災いと苦難に襲われる。その日民は、『これらの災いに襲われるのは、わたしのうちに神がおられないからではないか』と言う。

31:18 わたしはそれでも、その日、必ずわたしの顔を隠す。彼らが他の神々に向かうことにより行ったすべての悪のゆえである。

31:19 あなたたちは今、次の歌を書き留め、イスラエルの人々に教え、それを彼らの口に置き、この歌をイスラエルの人々に対するわたしの証言としなさい。

31:20 わたしがその先祖に誓った乳と蜜の流れる土地に彼を導き入れるとき、彼は食べて満ち足り、肥え太り、他の神々に向かい、これに仕え、わたしを侮ってわたしの契約を破るであろう。

31:24 モーセは、この律法の言葉を余すところなく書物に書き終えると、

31:25 主の契約の箱を担ぐレビ人に命じた。

31:26 「この律法の書を取り、あなたたちの神、主の契約の箱の傍らに置き、あなたに対する証言としてそこにあるようにしなさい。

31:27 わたしはあなたがかたくなで背く者であることを知っている。わたしが今日、まだ共に生きているときでさえ、あなたたちは主に背いている。わたしが死んだ後は、なおさらであろう。

31:28 あなたたちの部族の長老と役人をすべてわたしのもとに集めなさい。わたしはこれらの言葉を彼らに語り聞かせ、天と地を彼らに対する証人とする。

31:29 わたしには分かっている。わたしの死んだ後、あなたたちは必ず堕落して、わたしの命じた道からそれる。そして後の日に、災いがあなたたちにふりかかる。あなたたちが主が悪と見なされることを行い、その手の業によって主を怒らせるからである。」

31:30 モーセは、イスラエルの全会衆にこの歌の言葉を余すところなく語り聞かせた。

ＴＥＶ 申  31:14-30

31:14 Then the Lord said to Moses, "You do not have much longer to live. Call Joshua and bring him to the Tent, so that I may give him his instructions." Moses and Joshua went to the Tent,

31:15 and the Lord appeared to them there in a pillar of cloud that stood by the door of the Tent.

31:16 The Lord said to Moses, "You will soon die, and after your death the people will become unfaithful to me and break the covenant that I made with them. They will abandon me and worship the pagan gods of the land they are about to enter.

31:17 When that happens, I will become angry with them; I will abandon them, and they will be destroyed. Many terrible disasters will come upon them, and then they will realize that these things are happening to them because I, their God, am no longer with them.

31:18 And I will refuse to help them then, because they have done evil and worshiped other gods.

31:19 "Now, write down this song. Teach it to the people of Israel, so that it will stand as evidence against them.

31:20 I will take them into this rich and fertile land, as I promised their ancestors. There they will have all the food they want, and they will live comfortably. But they will turn away and worship other gods. They will reject me and break my covenant,

31:21 and many terrible disasters will come on them. But this song will still be sung, and it will stand as evidence against them. Even now, before I take them into the land that I promised to give them, I know what they are thinking."

31:22 That same day Moses wrote down the song and taught it to the people of Israel.

31:23 Then the Lord spoke to Joshua son of Nun and told him, "Be confident and determined. You will lead the people of Israel into the land that I promised them, and I will be with you."

31:24 Moses wrote God's Law in a book, taking care not to leave out anything.

31:25 When he finished, he said to the levitical priests, who were in charge of the Lord's Covenant Box,

31:26 "Take this book of God's Law and place it beside the Covenant Box of the Lord your God, so that it will remain there as a witness against his people.

31:27 I know how stubborn and rebellious they are. They have rebelled against the Lord during my lifetime, and they will rebel even more after I am dead.

31:28 Assemble all your tribal leaders and officials before me, so that I can tell them these things; I will call heaven and earth to be my witnesses against them.

31:29 I know that after my death the people will become wicked and reject what I have taught them. And in time to come they will meet with disaster, because they will have made the Lord angry by doing what he has forbidden."

31:30 Then Moses recited the entire song while all the people of Israel listened.

32:1 "Earth and sky, hear my words, /listen closely to what I say.

32:2 My teaching will fall like drops of rain /and form on the earth like dew. /My words will fall like showers on young plants, /like gentle rain on tender grass.
