15:24 ツァドクをはじめレビ人全員が神の契約の箱を担いで来ており、兵士全員が都を去るまで神の箱を降ろしていた。アビアタルも来ていた。

15:25 王はツァドクに言った。「神の箱は都に戻しなさい。わたしが主の御心に適うのであれば、主はわたしを連れ戻し、神の箱とその住む所とを見せてくださるだろう。

15:26 主がわたしを愛さないと言われるときは、どうかその良いと思われることをわたしに対してなさるように。」

15:27 王は祭司ツァドクに向かって言葉を続けた。「分かったか。平和にエルサレムに戻ってもらいたい。息子のアヒマアツとアビアタルの子ヨナタン、この二人の若者を連れて帰りなさい。

15:28 分かったか。わたしはあなたたちからの知らせを受けるまで、荒れ野の渡し場で待っている。」

15:29 ツァドクとアビアタルは神の箱と共にエルサレムに戻り、そこにとどまった。

◆ダビデとフシャイ

15:30 ダビデは頭を覆い、はだしでオリーブ山の坂道を泣きながら上って行った。同行した兵士たちも皆、それぞれ頭を覆い、泣きながら上って行った。

15:31 アヒトフェルがアブサロムの陰謀に加わったという知らせを受けて、ダビデは、「主よ、アヒトフェルの助言を愚かなものにしてください」と祈った。

15:32 神を礼拝する頂上の場所に着くと、アルキ人フシャイがダビデを迎えた。上着は裂け、頭に土をかぶっていた。

15:33 ダビデは彼に言った。「わたしと一緒に来てくれてもわたしの重荷になるだけだ。

15:34 都に戻って、アブサロムにこう言ってくれ。『王よ、わたしはあなたの僕です。以前、あなたの父上の僕でしたが、今からはあなたの僕です』と。お前はわたしのためにアヒトフェルの助言を覆すことができる。

15:35 都には祭司ツァドクとアビアタルもいて、お前と共に行動する。王宮で耳にすることはすべて祭司のツァドクとアビアタルに伝えてほしい。

15:36 また、そこには彼らの二人の息子も共にいる。ツァドクの息子アヒマアツ、アビアタルの息子ヨナタンだ。耳にすることは何でもこの二人を通してわたしのもとに伝えるようにしてくれ。」

15:37 こうしてダビデの友フシャイは都に入った。アブサロムもエルサレムに入城した。

新共同 �Uサム16:1-14

16:1 ダビデが山頂を少し下ったときに、メフィボシェトの従者ツィバが、ダビデを迎えた。彼は二頭の鞍を置いたろばに、二百個のパン、百房の干しぶどう、百個の夏の果物、ぶどう酒一袋を積んでいた。

16:2 王が、「お前はこれらのものをどうするのか」と尋ねると、ツィバは、「ろばは王様の御家族の乗用に、パンと夏の果物は従者の食用に、ぶどう酒は荒れ野で疲れた者の飲料に持参いたしました」と答えた。

16:3 王がツィバに、「お前の主人の息子はどこにいるのか」と尋ねると、ツィバは王に、「エルサレムにとどまっています。『イスラエルの家は今日、父の王座をわたしに返す』と申していました」と答えた。

16:4 王はツィバに、「それなら、メフィボシェトに属する物はすべてお前のものにしてよろしい」と言った。ツィバは、「お礼申し上げます。主君である王様の御厚意にあずかることができますように」と言った。

◆ダビデとシムイ

16:5 ダビデ王がバフリムにさしかかると、そこからサウル家の一族の出で、ゲラの子、名をシムイという男が呪いながら出て来て、

16:6 兵士、勇士が王の左右をすべて固めているにもかかわらず、ダビデ自身とダビデ王の家臣たち皆に石を投げつけた。

16:7 シムイは呪ってこう言った。「出て行け、出て行け。流血の罪を犯した男、ならず者。

16:8 サウル家のすべての血を流して王位を奪ったお前に、主は報復なさる。主がお前の息子アブサロムに王位を渡されたのだ。お前は災難を受けている。お前が流血の罪を犯した男だからだ。」

16:9 ツェルヤの子アビシャイが王に言った。「なぜあの死んだ犬に主君、王を呪わせておかれるのですか。行かせてください。首を切り落としてやります。」

16:10 王は言った。「ツェルヤの息子たちよ、ほうっておいてくれ。主がダビデを呪えとお命じになったのであの男は呪っているのだろうから、『どうしてそんなことをするのか』と誰が言えよう。」

16:11 ダビデは更にアビシャイと家臣の全員に言った。「わたしの身から出た子がわたしの命をねらっている。ましてこれはベニヤミン人だ。勝手にさせておけ。主の御命令で呪っているのだ。

16:12 主がわたしの苦しみを御覧になり、今日の彼の呪いに代えて幸いを返してくださるかもしれない。」

16:13 ダビデと一行は道を進んだ。シムイはダビデと平行して山腹を進み、呪っては石を投げ、塵を浴びせかけた。

16:14 王も同行の兵士も皆、疲れて到着し、そこで一息ついた。

ＴＥＶ �Uサム15:24-37

15:24 Zadok the priest was there, and with him were the Levites, carrying the sacred Covenant Box. They set it down and didn't pick it up again until all the people had left the city. The priest Abiathar was there too.

15:25 Then the king said to Zadok, "Take the Covenant Box back to the city. If the Lord is pleased with me, some day he will let me come back to see it and the place where it stays.

15:26 But if he isn't pleased with me-well, then, let him do to me what he wishes."

15:27 And he went on to say to Zadok, "Look, take your son Ahimaaz and Abiathar's son Jonathan and go back to the city in peace.

15:28 Meanwhile, I will wait at the river crossings in the wilderness until I receive news from you."

15:29 So Zadok and Abiathar took the Covenant Box back into Jerusalem and stayed there.

15:30 David went on up the Mount of Olives crying; he was barefoot and had his head covered as a sign of grief. All who followed him covered their heads and cried also.

15:31 When David was told that Ahithophel had joined Absalom's rebellion, he prayed, "Please, Lord, turn Ahithophel's advice into nonsense!"

15:32 When David reached the top of the hill, where there was a place of worship, his trusted friend Hushai the Archite met him with his clothes torn and with dirt on his head.

15:33 David said to him, "You will be of no help to me if you come with me,

15:34 but you can help me by returning to the city and telling Absalom that you will now serve him as faithfully as you served his father. And do all you can to oppose any advice that Ahithophel gives.

15:35 The priests Zadok and Abiathar will be there; tell them everything you hear in the king's palace.

15:36 They have their sons Ahimaaz and Jonathan with them, and you can send them to me with all the information you gather."

15:37 So Hushai, David's friend, returned to the city just as Absalom was arriving.

 ＴＥＶ �Uサム16:1-14

16:1 When David had gone a little beyond the top of the hill, he was suddenly met by Ziba, the servant of Mephibosheth, who had with him a couple of donkeys loaded with two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred bunches of raisins, a hundred bunches of fresh fruit, and a leather bag full of wine.

16:2 King David asked him, "What are you going to do with all that?" /Ziba answered, "The donkeys are for Your Majesty's family to ride, the bread and the fruit are for the men to eat, and the wine is for them to drink when they get tired in the wilderness."

16:3 "Where is Mephibosheth, the grandson of your master Saul?" the king asked him. /"He is staying in Jerusalem," Ziba answered, "because he is convinced that the Israelites will now restore to him the kingdom of his grandfather Saul."

16:4 The king said to Ziba, "Everything that belonged to Mephibosheth is yours." /"I am your servant," Ziba replied. "May I always please Your Majesty!"

16:5 When King David arrived at Bahurim, one of Saul's relatives, Shimei son of Gera, came out to meet him, cursing him as he came.

16:6 Shimei started throwing stones at David and his officials, even though David was surrounded by his men and his bodyguards.

16:7 Shimei cursed him and said, "Get out! Get out! Murderer! Criminal!

16:8 You took Saul's kingdom, and now the Lord is punishing you for murdering so many of Saul's family. The Lord has given the kingdom to your son Absalom, and you are ruined, you murderer!"

16:9 Abishai, whose mother was Zeruiah, said to the king, "Your Majesty, why do you let this dog curse you? Let me go over there and cut off his head!"

16:10 "This is none of your business," the king said to Abishai and his brother Joab. "If he curses me because the Lord told him to, who has the right to ask why he does it?"

16:11 And David said to Abishai and to all his officials, "My own son is trying to kill me; so why should you be surprised at this Benjaminite? The Lord told him to curse; so leave him alone and let him do it.

16:12 Perhaps the Lord will notice my misery and give me some blessings to take the place of his curse."

16:13 So David and his men continued along the road. Shimei kept up with them, walking on the hillside; he was cursing and throwing stones and dirt at them as he went.

16:14 The king and all his men were worn out when they reached the Jordan, and there they rested.
