4:11 そこで、悪魔はイエスを離れ去り、そして、御使たちがみもとにきて仕えた。
4:12 さて、イエスはヨハネが捕えられたと聞いて、ガリラヤへ退かれた。
4:13 そしてナザレを去り、ゼブルンとナフタリとの地方にある海べの町カペナウムに行って住まわれた。
4:14 これは預言者イザヤによって言われた言が、成就するためである。
4:15 「ゼブルンの地、ナフタリの地、海に沿う地方、ヨルダンの向こうの地、異邦人のガリラヤ、
4:16 暗黒の中に住んでいる民は大いなる光を見、死の地、死の陰に住んでいる人々に、光がのぼった」。
4:17 この時からイエスは教を宣べはじめて言われた、「悔い改めよ、天国は近づいた」。

4:11 すると悪魔はイエスを離れて行き、見よ、御使いたちが近づいて来て仕えた。
4:12 ヨハネが捕えられたと聞いてイエスは、ガリラヤへ立ちのかれた。
4:13 そしてナザレを去って、カペナウムに来て住まわれた。ゼブルンとナフタリとの境にある、湖のほとりの町である。
4:14 これは、預言者イザヤを通して言われた事が、成就するためであった。すなわち、
4:15 「ゼブルンの地とナフタリの地、湖に向かう道、ヨルダンの向こう岸、異邦人のガリラヤ。
4:16 暗やみの中にすわっていた民は偉大な光を見、死の地と死の陰にすわっていた人々に、光が上った。」
4:17 この時から、イエスは宣教を開始して、言われた。「悔い改めなさい。天の御国が近づいたから。」

4:14 それは、預言者イザヤを通して言われていたことが実現するためであった。

4:16 暗闇に住む民は大きな光を見、／死の陰の地に住む者に光が射し込んだ。」

4:11 Then the devil left
Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
4:12 Now when Jesus heard
that John had been put in prison, He departed to Galilee.
4:13 And leaving
Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions
of Zebulun and Naphtali,
4:14 that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
4:15 "The land of
Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,By the way of the sea, beyond the
Jordan,Galilee of the Gentiles:
4:16 The people who sat
in darkness have seen a great light,And upon those who sat in the region and
shadow of deathLight has dawned."
4:17 From that time Jesus
began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at
hand."

4:11 Then the Devil left
Jesus; and angels came and helped him.
4:12 When Jesus heard
that John had been put in prison, he went away to Galilee.
4:13 He did not stay in
Nazareth, but went to live in Capernaum, a town by Lake Galilee, in the
territory of Zebulun and Naphtali.
4:14 This was done to
make come true what the prophet Isaiah had said,
4:15 "Land of
Zebulun and land of Naphtali, /on the road to the sea, on the other side of the
Jordan, /Galilee, land of the Gentiles!
4:16 The people who live
in darkness /will see a great light. /On those who live in the dark land of
death /the light will shine."
4:17 From that time Jesus
began to preach his message: "Turn away from your sins, because the
Kingdom of heaven is near!"
