4:16 暗黒の中に住んでいる民は大いなる光を見、死の地、死の陰に住んでいる人々に、光がのぼった」。
4:17 この時からイエスは教を宣べはじめて言われた、「悔い改めよ、天国は近づいた」。
4:18 さて、イエスがガリラヤの海べを歩いておられると、ふたりの兄弟、すなわち、ペテロと呼ばれたシモンとその兄弟アンデレとが、海に網を打っているのをごらんになった。彼らは漁師であった。
4:19 イエスは彼らに言われた、「わたしについてきなさい。あなたがたを、人間をとる漁師にしてあげよう」。
4:20 すると、彼らはすぐに網を捨てて、イエスに従った。
4:21 そこから進んで行かれると、ほかのふたりの兄弟、すなわち、ゼベダイの子ヤコブとその兄弟ヨハネとが、父ゼベダイと一緒に、舟の中で網を繕っているのをごらんになった。そこで彼らをお招きになると、
4:22 すぐ舟と父とをおいて、イエスに従って行った。

4:16 暗やみの中にすわっていた民は偉大な光を見、死の地と死の陰にすわっていた人々に、光が上った。」
4:17 この時から、イエスは宣教を開始して、言われた。「悔い改めなさい。天の御国が近づいたから。」
4:18 イエスがガリラヤ湖のほとりを歩いておられたとき、ふたりの兄弟、ペテロと呼ばれるシモンとその兄弟アンデレをご覧になった。彼らは湖で網を打っていた。漁師だったからである。
4:19 イエスは彼らに言われた。「わたしについて来なさい。あなたがたを、人間をとる漁師にしてあげよう。」

4:21 そこからなお行かれると、イエスは、別のふたりの兄弟、ゼベダイの子ヤコブとその兄弟ヨハネが、父ゼベダイといっしょに舟の中で網を繕っているのをご覧になり、ふたりをお呼びになった。
4:22 彼らはすぐに舟も父も残してイエスに従った。

◆四人の漁師を弟子にする
4:18 イエスは、ガリラヤ湖のほとりを歩いておられたとき、二人の兄弟、ペトロと呼ばれるシモンとその兄弟アンデレが、湖で網を打っているのを御覧になった。彼らは漁師だった。
4:19 イエスは、「わたしについて来なさい。人間をとる漁師にしよう」と言われた。
4:20 二人はすぐに網を捨てて従った。
4:21 そこから進んで、別の二人の兄弟、ゼベダイの子ヤコブとその兄弟ヨハネが、父親のゼベダイと一緒に、舟の中で網の手入れをしているのを御覧になると、彼らをお呼びになった。

4:16 The people who sat
in darkness have seen a great light,And upon those who sat in the region and
shadow of deathLight has dawned."
4:17 From that time Jesus
began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at
hand."
4:18 And Jesus, walking
by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his
brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
4:19 Then He said to
them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."
4:20 They immediately
left their nets and followed Him.
4:21 Going on from there,
He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in
the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them,
4:22 and immediately they
left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

4:16 The people who live
in darkness /will see a great light. /On those who live in the dark land of
death /the light will shine."
4:17 From that time Jesus
began to preach his message: "Turn away from your sins, because the
Kingdom of heaven is near!"
4:18 As Jesus walked
along the shore of Lake Galilee, he saw two brothers who were fishermen, Simon
(called Peter) and his brother Andrew, catching fish in the lake with a net.
4:19 Jesus said to them,
"Come with me, and I will teach you to catch people."
4:20 At once they left
their nets and went with him.
4:21 He went on and saw
two other brothers, James and John, the sons of Zebedee. They were in their
boat with their father Zebedee, getting their nets ready. Jesus called them,
4:22 and at once they
left the boat and their father, and went with him.
