5:40 あなたを訴えて、下着を取ろうとする者には、上着をも与えなさい。
5:41 もし、だれかが、あなたをしいて一マイル行かせようとするなら、その人と共に二マイル行きなさい。
5:42 求める者には与え、借りようとする者を断るな。
5:43 『隣り人を愛し、敵を憎め』と言われていたことは、あなたがたの聞いているところである。
5:44 しかし、わたしはあなたがたに言う。敵を愛し、迫害する者のために祈れ。

5:39 "But I tell you
not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn
the other to him also.
5:40 "If anyone
wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.
5:41 "And whoever
compels you to go one mile, go with him two.
5:42 "Give to him
who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax
collectors do so?
5:48 "Therefore you
shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

5:42 When someone asks
you for something, give it to him; when someone wants to borrow something, lend
it to him.
5:43 "You have heard
that it was said, "Love your friends, hate your enemies.'
5:44 But now I tell you:
love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
5:45 so that you may
become the children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun to shine on
bad and good people alike, and gives rain to those who do good and to those who
do evil.
5:46 Why should God
reward you if you love only the people who love you? Even the tax collectors do
that!
5:47 And if you speak
only to your friends, have you done anything out of the ordinary? Even the
pagans do that!
5:48 You must be
perfect-just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
