9:10 それから、イエスが家で食事の席についておられた時のことである。多くの取税人や罪人たちがきて、イエスや弟子たちと共にその席に着いていた。
9:11 パリサイ人たちはこれを見て、弟子たちに言った、「なぜ、あなたがたの先生は、取税人や罪人などと食事を共にするのか」。
9:12 イエスはこれを聞いて言われた、「丈夫な人には医者はいらない。いるのは病人である。
9:13 『わたしが好むのは、あわれみであって、いけにえではない』とはどういう意味か、学んできなさい。わたしがきたのは、義人を招くためではなく、罪人を招くためである」。

9:10 イエスが家で食事の席に着いておられるとき、見よ、取税人や罪人が大ぜい来て、イエスやその弟子たちといっしょに食卓に着いていた。
9:11 すると、これを見たパリサイ人たちが、イエスの弟子たちに言った。「なぜ、あなたがたの先生は、取税人や罪人といっしょに食事をするのですか。」
9:12 イエスはこれを聞いて言われた。「医者を必要とするのは丈夫な者ではなく、病人です。
9:13 『わたしはあわれみは好むが、いけにえは好まない。』とはどういう意味か、行って学んで来なさい。わたしは正しい人を招くためではなく、罪人を招くために来たのです。」

9:10 Now it happened, as
Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and
sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples.
9:11 And when the
Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat
with tax collectors and sinners?"
9:12 When Jesus heard
that, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician,
but those who are sick.
9:13 "But go and
learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come
to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."

9:10 While Jesus was
having a meal in Matthew's house, many tax collectors and other outcasts came
and joined Jesus and his disciples at the table.
9:11 Some Pharisees saw
this and asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with such
people?"
9:12 Jesus heard them and
answered, "People who are well do not need a doctor, but only those who
are sick.
9:13 Go and find out what
is meant by the scripture that says: "It is kindness that I want, not
animal sacrifices.' I have not come to call respectable people, but outcasts."
