15:2 「あなたの弟子たちは、なぜ昔の人々の言伝えを破るのですか。彼らは食事の時に手を洗っていません」。
15:3 イエスは答えて言われた、「なぜ、あなたがたも自分たちの言伝えによって、神のいましめを破っているのか。
15:4 神は言われた、『父と母とを敬え』、また『父または母をののしる者は、必ず死に定められる』と。
15:5 それだのに、あなたがたは『だれでも父または母にむかって、あなたにさしあげるはずのこのものは供え物です、と言えば、
15:6 父または母を敬わなくてもよろしい』と言っている。こうしてあなたがたは自分たちの言伝えによって、神の言を無にしている。
15:7 偽善者たちよ、イザヤがあなたがたについて、こういう適切な預言をしている、
15:8 『この民は、口さきではわたしを敬うが、その心はわたしから遠く離れている。
15:9 人間のいましめを教として教え、無意味にわたしを拝んでいる』」。
15:10 それからイエスは群衆を呼び寄せて言われた、「聞いて悟るがよい。
15:11 口にはいるものは人を汚すことはない。かえって、口から出るものが人を汚すのである」。
15:12 そのとき、弟子たちが近寄ってきてイエスに言った、「パリサイ人たちが御言を聞いてつまずいたことを、ご存じですか」。
15:13 イエスは答えて言われた、「わたしの天の父がお植えにならなかったものは、みな抜き取られるであろう。
15:14 彼らをそのままにしておけ。彼らは盲人を手引きする盲人である。もし盲人が盲人を手引きするなら、ふたりとも穴に落ち込むであろう」。
15:15 ペテロが答えて言った、「その譬を説明してください」。
15:16 イエスは言われた、「あなたがたも、まだわからないのか。
15:17 口にはいってくるものは、みな腹の中にはいり、そして、外に出て行くことを知らないのか。
15:18 しかし、口から出て行くものは、心の中から出てくるのであって、それが人を汚すのである。
15:19 というのは、悪い思い、すなわち、殺人、姦淫、不品行、盗み、偽証、誹りは、心の中から出てくるのであって、

Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying,
15:2 "Why do Your
disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their
hands when they eat bread."
15:3 He answered and said
to them, "Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of
your tradition?
15:4 "For God
commanded, saying, 'Honor your father and your mother'; and, 'He who curses
father or mother, let him be put to death.'
15:5 "But you say,
'Whoever says to his father or mother, "Whatever profit you might have
received from me is a gift to God"-
15:6 'then he need not
honor his father or mother.' Thus you have made the commandment of God of no
effect by your tradition.
15:7 "Hypocrites!
Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
15:8 'These people draw
near to Me with their mouth,And honor Me with their lips,But their heart is far
from Me.
15:9 And in vain they
worship Me,Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' "
15:10 When He had called
the multitude to Himself, He said to them, "Hear and understand:
15:11 "Not what goes
into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a
man."
15:12 Then His disciples
came and said to Him, "Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when
they heard this saying?"
15:13 But He answered and
said, "Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be
uprooted.
15:14 "Let them
alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind,
both will fall into a ditch."
15:15 Then Peter answered
and said to Him, "Explain this parable to us."
15:16 So Jesus said,
"Are you also still without understanding?
15:17 "Do you not
yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is
eliminated?
15:18 "But those
things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a
man.
15:19 "For out of
the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts,
false witness, blasphemies.
15:20 "These are the
things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a
man."

15:1 Then some Pharisees
and teachers of the Law came from Jerusalem to Jesus and asked him,
15:2 "Why is it that
your disciples disobey the teaching handed down by our ancestors? They don't
wash their hands in the proper way before they eat!"
15:3 Jesus answered,
"And why do you disobey God's command and follow your own teaching?
15:4 For God said,
"Respect your father and your mother,' and "If you curse your father
or your mother, you are to be put to death.'
15:5 But you teach that
if people have something they could use to help their father or mother, but
say, "This belongs to God,'
15:6 they do not need to
honor their father. In this way you disregard God's command, in order to follow
your own teaching.
15:7 You hypocrites! How
right Isaiah was when he prophesied about you!
15:8 "These people,
says God, honor me with their words, /but their heart is really far away from
me.
15:9 It is no use for
them to worship me, /because they teach human rules as though they were my
laws!"'
15:10 Then Jesus called
the crowd to him and said to them, "Listen and understand!
15:11 It is not what goes
into your mouth that makes you ritually unclean; rather, what comes out of it
makes you unclean."
15:12 Then the disciples
came to him and said, "Do you know that the Pharisees had their feelings
hurt by what you said?"
15:13 "Every plant
which my Father in heaven did not plant will be pulled up," answered
Jesus.
15:14 "Don't worry
about them! They are blind leaders of the blind; and when one blind man leads
another, both fall into a ditch."
15:15 Peter spoke up,
"Explain this saying to us."
15:16 Jesus said to them,
"You are still no more intelligent than the others.
15:17 Don't you
understand? Anything that goes into your mouth goes into your stomach and then
on out of your body.
15:18 But the things that
come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these are the things that make
you ritually unclean.
15:19 For from your heart
come the evil ideas which lead you to kill, commit adultery, and do other
immoral things; to rob, lie, and slander others.
15:20 These are the
things that make you unclean. But to eat without washing your hands as they say
you should-this doesn't make you unclean."
