1:1 テオピロよ、わたしは先に第一巻を著わして、イエスが行い、また教えはじめてから、

1:2 お選びになった使徒たちに、聖霊によって命じたのち、天に上げられた日までのことを、ことごとくしるした。

1:3 イエスは苦難を受けたのち、自分の生きていることを数々の確かな証拠によって示し、四十日にわたってたびたび彼らに現れて、神の国のことを語られた。

1:4 そして食事を共にしているとき、彼らにお命じになった、「エルサレムから離れないで、かねてわたしから聞いていた父の約束を待っているがよい。

1:5 すなわち、ヨハネは水でバプテスマを授けたが、あなたがたは間もなく聖霊によって、バプテスマを授けられるであろう」。

1:3 イエスは苦しみを受けた後、四十日の間、彼らに現われて、神の国のことを語り、数多くの確かな証拠をもって、ご自分が生きていることを使徒たちに示された。

1:4 彼らといっしょにいるとき、イエスは彼らにこう命じられた。「エルサレムを離れないで、わたしから聞いた父の約束を待ちなさい。

1:5 ヨハネは水でバプテスマを授けたが、もう間もなく、あなたがたは聖霊のバプテスマを受けるからです。」

◆約束の聖霊

1:3 イエスは苦難を受けた後、御自分が生きていることを、数多くの証拠をもって使徒たちに示し、四十日にわたって彼らに現れ、神の国について話された。

1:4 そして、彼らと食事を共にしていたとき、こう命じられた。「エルサレムを離れず、前にわたしから聞いた、父の約束されたものを待ちなさい。

1:5 ヨハネは水で洗礼を授けたが、あなたがたは間もなく聖霊による洗礼を授けられるからである。」

◆イエス、天に上げられる

1:6 さて、使徒たちは集まって、「主よ、イスラエルのために国を建て直してくださるのは、この時ですか」と尋ねた。

1:1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

1:2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,

1:3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

1:4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me;

1:5 "for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."

1:1 Dear Theophilus: /In my first book I wrote about all the things that Jesus did and taught from the time he began his work

1:2 until the day he was taken up to heaven. Before he was taken up, he gave instructions by the power of the Holy Spirit to the men he had chosen as his apostles.

1:3 For forty days after his death he appeared to them many times in ways that proved beyond doubt that he was alive. They saw him, and he talked with them about the Kingdom of God.

1:4 And when they came together, he gave them this order: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift I told you about, the gift my Father promised.

1:5 John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
