20:24 十二人の一人でディディモと呼ばれるトマスは、イエスが来られたとき、彼らと一緒にいなかった。

20:25 そこで、ほかの弟子たちが、「わたしたちは主を見た」と言うと、トマスは言った。「あの方の手に釘の跡を見、この指を釘跡に入れてみなければ、また、この手をそのわき腹に入れてみなければ、わたしは決して信じない。」

20:26 さて八日の後、弟子たちはまた家の中におり、トマスも一緒にいた。戸にはみな鍵がかけてあったのに、イエスが来て真ん中に立ち、「あなたがたに平和があるように」と言われた。

20:27 それから、トマスに言われた。「あなたの指をここに当てて、わたしの手を見なさい。また、あなたの手を伸ばし、わたしのわき腹に入れなさい。信じない者ではなく、信じる者になりなさい。」

20:28 トマスは答えて、「わたしの主、わたしの神よ」と言った。

20:29 イエスはトマスに言われた。「わたしを見たから信じたのか。見ないのに信じる人は、幸いである。」

20:24 One of the twelve disciples, Thomas (called the Twin), was not with them when Jesus came.

20:25 So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" /Thomas said to them, "Unless I see the scars of the nails in his hands and put my finger on those scars and my hand in his side, I will not believe."

20:26 A week later the disciples were together again indoors, and Thomas was with them. The doors were locked, but Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you."

20:27 Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and look at my hands; then reach out your hand and put it in my side. Stop your doubting, and believe!"

20:28 Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!"

20:29 Jesus said to him, "Do you believe because you see me? How happy are those who believe without seeing me!"
