25:1 主よ、あなたはわたしの神／わたしはあなたをあがめ／御名に感謝をささげます。あなたは驚くべき計画を成就された／遠い昔からの揺るぎない真実をもって。

25:2 あなたは都を石塚とし／城壁のある町を瓦礫の山とし／異邦人の館を都から取り去られた。永久に都が建て直されることはないであろう。

25:3 それゆえ、強い民もあなたを敬い／暴虐な国々の都でも人々はあなたを恐れる。

25:4 まことに、あなたは弱い者の砦／苦難に遭う貧しい者の砦／豪雨を逃れる避け所／暑さを避ける陰となられる。暴虐な者の勢いは壁をたたく豪雨

25:5 乾ききった地の暑さのようだ。あなたは雲の陰が暑さを和らげるように／異邦人の騒ぎを鎮め／暴虐な者たちの歌声を低くされる。

25:6 万軍の主はこの山で祝宴を開き／すべての民に良い肉と古い酒を供される。それは脂肪に富む良い肉とえり抜きの酒。

25:7 主はこの山で／すべての民の顔を包んでいた布と／すべての国を覆っていた布を滅ぼし

25:8 死を永久に滅ぼしてくださる。主なる神は、すべての顔から涙をぬぐい／御自分の民の恥を／地上からぬぐい去ってくださる。これは主が語られたことである。

25:9 その日には、人は言う。見よ、この方こそわたしたちの神。わたしたちは待ち望んでいた。この方がわたしたちを救ってくださる。この方こそわたしたちが待ち望んでいた主。その救いを祝って喜び躍ろう。

25:10 主の御手はこの山の上にとどまる。

◆モアブの滅亡

25:10 モアブは主の下に踏みにじられる／わらが踏みつけられて堆肥の山にされるように。

25:11 モアブはそこで手を広げる／泳ぐ人が泳ごうとして手を広げるように。しかし、巧みな手の業を重ねても／主はその誇りを打ち倒される。

25:12 主はお前の城壁の砦と塔を砕き／打ち倒して地の塵に伏させる。

ＴＥＶ イザ 25:1-12

25:1 Lord, you are my God; /I will honor you and praise your name. /You have done amazing things; /you have faithfully carried out /the plans you made long ago.

25:2 You have turned cities into ruins /and destroyed their fortifications. /The palaces which our enemies built /are gone forever.

25:3 The people of powerful nations will praise you; /you will be feared in the cities of cruel nations.

25:4 The poor and the helpless have fled to you /and have been safe in times of trouble. /You give them shelter from storms /and shade from the burning heat. /Cruel enemies attack like a winter storm,

25:5 like drought in a dry land. /But you, Lord, have silenced our enemies; /you silence the shouts of cruel people, /as a cloud cools a hot day.

25:6 Here on Mount Zion the Lord Almighty will prepare a banquet for all the nations of the world-a banquet of the richest food and the finest wine.

25:7 Here he will suddenly remove the cloud of sorrow that has been hanging over all the nations.

25:8 The Sovereign Lord will destroy death forever! He will wipe away the tears from everyone's eyes and take away the disgrace his people have suffered throughout the world. The Lord himself has spoken.

25:9 When it happens, everyone will say, "He is our God! We have put our trust in him, and he has rescued us. He is the Lord!

25:10 The Lord will protect Mount Zion, but the people of Moab will be trampled down the way straw is trampled in manure.

25:11 They will reach out their hands as if they were trying to swim, but God will humiliate them, and their hands will sink helplessly.

25:12 He will destroy the fortresses of Moab with their high walls and bring them tumbling down into the dust.
