8:6 「主よ、わたしの僕が中風でひどく苦しんで、家に寝ています」。
8:7 イエスは彼に、「わたしが行ってなおしてあげよう」と言われた。
8:8 そこで百卒長は答えて言った、「主よ、わたしの屋根の下にあなたをお入れする資格は、わたしにはございません。ただ、お言葉を下さい。そうすれば僕はなおります。
8:9 わたしも権威の下にある者ですが、わたしの下にも兵卒がいまして、ひとりの者に『行け』と言えば行き、ほかの者に『こい』と言えばきますし、また、僕に『これをせよ』と言えば、してくれるのです」。
8:10 イエスはこれを聞いて非常に感心され、ついてきた人々に言われた、「よく聞きなさい。イスラエル人の中にも、これほどの信仰を見たことがない。
8:11 なお、あなたがたに言うが、多くの人が東から西からきて、天国で、アブラハム、イサク、ヤコブと共に宴会の席につくが、
8:12 この国の子らは外のやみに追い出され、そこで泣き叫んだり、歯がみをしたりするであろう」。
8:13 それからイエスは百卒長に「行け、あなたの信じたとおりになるように」と言われた。すると、ちょうどその時に、僕はいやされた。

8:9 と申しますのは、私も権威の下にある者ですが、私自身の下にも兵士たちがいまして、そのひとりに『行け。』と言えば行きますし、別の者に『来い。』と言えば来ます。また、しもべに『これをせよ。』と言えば、そのとおりにいたします。」
8:10 イエスは、これを聞いて驚かれ、ついて来た人たちにこう言われた。「まことに、あなたがたに告げます。わたしはイスラエルのうちのだれにも、このような信仰を見たことがありません。
8:11 あなたがたに言いますが、たくさんの人が東からも西からも来て、天の御国で、アブラハム、イサク、ヤコブといっしょに食卓に着きます。
8:12 しかし、御国の子らは外の暗やみに放り出され、そこで泣いて歯ぎしりするのです。」
8:13 それから、イエスは百人隊長に言われた。「さあ行きなさい。あなたの信じたとおりになるように。」すると、ちょうどその時、そのしもべはいやされた。

8:11 言っておくが、いつか、東や西から大勢の人が来て、天の国でアブラハム、イサク、ヤコブと共に宴会の席に着く。
8:12 だが、御国の子らは、外の暗闇に追い出される。そこで泣きわめいて歯ぎしりするだろう。」
8:13 そして、百人隊長に言われた。「帰りなさい。あなたが信じたとおりになるように。」ちょうどそのとき、僕の病気はいやされた。

8:5 Now when Jesus had
entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,
8:6 saying, "Lord,
my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented."
8:7 And Jesus said to
him, "I will come and heal him."
8:8 The centurion
answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my
roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
8:9 "For I also am a
man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, 'Go,' and
he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,'
and he does it."
8:10 When Jesus heard it,
He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I
have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
8:11 "And I say to
you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac,
and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
8:12 "But the sons
of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and
gnashing of teeth."
8:13 Then Jesus said to
the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done
for you." And his servant was healed that same hour.

8:5 When Jesus entered
Capernaum, a Roman officer met him and begged for help:
8:6 "Sir, my servant
is sick in bed at home, unable to move and suffering terribly."
8:7 "I will go and
make him well," Jesus said.
8:8 "Oh no,
sir," answered the officer. "I do not deserve to have you come into
my house. Just give the order, and my servant will get well.
8:9 I, too, am a man
under the authority of superior officers, and I have soldiers under me. I order
this one, "Go!' and he goes; and I order that one, "Come!' and he
comes; and I order my slave, "Do this!' and he does it."
8:10 When Jesus heard
this, he was surprised and said to the people following him, "I tell you,
I have never found anyone in Israel with faith like this.
8:11 I assure you that
many will come from the east and the west and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of heaven.
8:12 But those who should
be in the Kingdom will be thrown out into the darkness, where they will cry and
gnash their teeth."
8:13 Then Jesus said to
the officer, "Go home, and what you believe will be done for you."
/And the officer's servant was healed that very moment.
