8:18 イエスは、群衆が自分のまわりに群がっているのを見て、向こう岸に行くようにと弟子たちにお命じになった。
8:19 するとひとりの律法学者が近づいてきて言った、「先生、あなたがおいでになる所なら、どこへでも従ってまいります」。
8:20 イエスはその人に言われた、「きつねには穴があり、空の鳥には巣がある。しかし、人の子にはまくらする所がない」。
8:21 また弟子のひとりが言った、「主よ、まず、父を葬りに行かせて下さい」。
8:22 イエスは彼に言われた、「わたしに従ってきなさい。そして、その死人を葬ることは、死人に任せておくがよい」。
8:23 それから、イエスが舟に乗り込まれると、弟子たちも従った。
8:24 すると突然、海上に激しい暴風が起って、舟は波にのまれそうになった。ところが、イエスは眠っておられた。
8:25 そこで弟子たちはみそばに寄ってきてイエスを起し、「主よ、お助けください、わたしたちは死にそうです」と言った。
8:26 するとイエスは彼らに言われた、「なぜこわがるのか、信仰の薄い者たちよ」。それから起きあがって、風と海とをおしかりになると、大なぎになった。
8:27 彼らは驚いて言った、「このかたはどういう人なのだろう。風も海も従わせるとは」。

8:18 さて、イエスは群衆が自分の回りにいるのをご覧になると、向こう岸に行くための用意をお命じになった。
8:19 そこに、ひとりの律法学者が来てこう言った。「先生。私はあなたのおいでになる所なら、どこにでもついてまいります。」
8:20 すると、イエスは彼に言われた。「狐には穴があり、空の鳥には巣があるが、人の子には枕する所もありません。」
8:21 また、別のひとりの弟子がイエスにこう言った。「主よ。まず行って、私の父を葬ることを許してください。」
8:22 ところが、イエスは彼に言われた。「わたしについて来なさい。死人たちに彼らの中の死人たちを葬らせなさい。」
8:23 イエスが舟にお乗りになると、弟子たちも従った。
8:24 すると、見よ、湖に大暴風が起こって、舟は大波をかぶった。ところが、イエスは眠っておられた。
8:25 弟子たちはイエスのみもとに来て、イエスを起こして言った。「主よ。助けてください。私たちはおぼれそうです。」
8:26 イエスは言われた。「なぜこわがるのか、信仰の薄い者たちだ。」それから、起き上がって、風と湖をしかりつけられると、大なぎになった。
8:27 人々は驚いてこう言った。「風や湖までが言うことをきくとは、いったいこの方はどういう方なのだろう。」

◆嵐を静める
8:23 イエスが舟に乗り込まれると、弟子たちも従った。
8:24 そのとき、湖に激しい嵐が起こり、舟は波にのまれそうになった。イエスは眠っておられた。
8:25 弟子たちは近寄って起こし、「主よ、助けてください。おぼれそうです」と言った。
8:26 イエスは言われた。「なぜ怖がるのか。信仰の薄い者たちよ。」そして、起き上がって風と湖とをお叱りになると、すっかり凪になった。
8:27 人々は驚いて、「いったい、この方はどういう方なのだろう。風や湖さえも従うではないか」と言った。

8:18 And when Jesus saw
great multitudes about Him, He gave a command to depart to the other side.
8:19 Then a certain
scribe came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You
go."
8:20 And Jesus said to
him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man
has nowhere to lay His head."
8:21 Then another of His
disciples said to Him, "Lord, let me first go and bury my father."
8:22 But Jesus said to
him, "Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead."
8:23 Now when He got into
a boat, His disciples followed Him.
8:24 And suddenly a great
tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He
was asleep.
8:25 Then His disciples
came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"
8:26 But He said to them,
"Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and
rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
8:27 So the men marveled,
saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"

8:18 When Jesus noticed
the crowd around him, he ordered his disciples to go to the other side of the
lake.
8:19 A teacher of the Law
came to him. "Teacher," he said, "I am ready to go with you
wherever you go."
8:20 Jesus answered him,
"Foxes have holes, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place
to lie down and rest."
8:21 Another man, who was
a disciple, said, "Sir, first let me go back and bury my father."
8:22 "Follow
me," Jesus answered, "and let the dead bury their own dead."
8:23 Jesus got into a
boat, and his disciples went with him.
8:24 Suddenly a fierce
storm hit the lake, and the boat was in danger of sinking. But Jesus was
asleep.
8:25 The disciples went
to him and woke him up. "Save us, Lord!" they said. "We are
about to die!"
8:26 "Why are you so
frightened?" Jesus answered. "What little faith you have!" Then
he got up and ordered the winds and the waves to stop, and there was a great
calm.
8:27 Everyone was amazed.
"What kind of man is this?" they said. "Even the winds and the
waves obey him!"
