8:28 それから、向こう岸、ガダラ人の地に着かれると、悪霊につかれたふたりの者が、墓場から出てきてイエスに出会った。彼らは手に負えない乱暴者で、だれもその辺の道を通ることができないほどであった。
8:29 すると突然、彼らは叫んで言った、「神の子よ、あなたはわたしどもとなんの係わりがあるのです。まだその時ではないのに、ここにきて、わたしどもを苦しめるのですか」。
8:30 さて、そこからはるか離れた所に、おびただしい豚の群れが飼ってあった。
8:31 悪霊どもはイエスに願って言った、「もしわたしどもを追い出されるのなら、あの豚の群れの中につかわして下さい」。
8:32 そこで、イエスが「行け」と言われると、彼らは出て行って、豚の中へはいり込んだ。すると、その群れ全体が、がけから海へなだれを打って駆け下り、水の中で死んでしまった。
8:33 飼う者たちは逃げて町に行き、悪霊につかれた者たちのことなど、いっさいを知らせた。
8:34 すると、町中の者がイエスに会いに出てきた。そして、イエスに会うと、この地方から去ってくださるようにと頼んだ。

8:28 それから、向こう岸のガダラ人の地にお着きになると、悪霊につかれた人がふたり墓から出て来て、イエスに出会った。彼らはひどく狂暴で、だれもその道を通れないほどであった。
8:29 すると、見よ、彼らはわめいて言った。「神の子よ。いったい私たちに何をしようというのです。まだその時ではないのに、もう私たちを苦しめに来られたのですか。」
8:30 ところで、そこからずっと離れた所に、たくさんの豚の群れが飼ってあった。
8:31 それで、悪霊どもはイエスに願ってこう言った。「もし私たちを追い出そうとされるのでしたら、どうか豚の群れの中にやってください。」
8:32 イエスは彼らに「行け。」と言われた。すると、彼らは出て行って豚にはいった。すると、見よ、その群れ全体がどっとがけから湖へ駆け降りて行って、水におぼれて死んだ。
8:33 飼っていた者たちは逃げ出して町に行き、悪霊につかれた人たちのことなどを残らず知らせた。
8:34 すると、見よ、町中の者がイエスに会いに出て来た。そして、イエスに会うと、どうかこの地方を立ち去ってくださいと願った。

8:28 イエスが向こう岸のガダラ人の地方に着かれると、悪霊に取りつかれた者が二人、墓場から出てイエスのところにやって来た。二人は非常に狂暴で、だれもその辺りの道を通れないほどであった。
8:29 突然、彼らは叫んだ。「神の子、かまわないでくれ。まだ、その時ではないのにここに来て、我々を苦しめるのか。」
8:30 はるかかなたで多くの豚の群れがえさをあさっていた。
8:31 そこで、悪霊どもはイエスに、「我々を追い出すのなら、あの豚の中にやってくれ」と願った。
8:32 イエスが、「行け」と言われると、悪霊どもは二人から出て、豚の中に入った。すると、豚の群れはみな崖を下って湖になだれ込み、水の中で死んだ。
8:33 豚飼いたちは逃げ出し、町に行って、悪霊に取りつかれた者のことなど一切を知らせた。
8:34 すると、町中の者がイエスに会おうとしてやって来た。そして、イエスを見ると、その地方から出て行ってもらいたいと言った。

8:28 When He had come to
the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two
demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no
one could pass that way.
8:29 And suddenly they
cried out, saying, "What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God?
Have You come here to torment us before the time?"
8:30 Now a good way off
from them there was a herd of many swine feeding.
8:31 So the demons begged
Him, saying, "If You cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of
swine."
8:32 And He said to them,
"Go." So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine.
And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into
the sea, and perished in the water.
8:33 Then those who kept
them fled; and they went away into the city and told everything, including what
had happened to the demon-possessed men.
8:34 And behold, the
whole city came out to meet Jesus. And when they saw Him, they begged Him to
depart from their region.

8:28 When Jesus came to
the territory of Gadara on the other side of the lake, he was met by two men
who came out of the burial caves there. These men had demons in them and were
so fierce that no one dared travel on that road.
8:29 At once they
screamed, "What do you want with us, you Son of God? Have you come to
punish us before the right time?"
8:30 Not far away there
was a large herd of pigs feeding.
8:31 So the demons begged
Jesus, "If you are going to drive us out, send us into that herd of
pigs."
8:32 "Go,"
Jesus told them; so they left and went off into the pigs. The whole herd rushed
down the side of the cliff into the lake and was drowned.
8:33 The men who had been
taking care of the pigs ran away and went into the town, where they told the
whole story and what had happened to the men with the demons.
8:34 So everyone from the
town went out to meet Jesus; and when they saw him, they begged him to leave
their territory.
