11:1 イエスは十二弟子にこのように命じ終えてから、町々で教えまた宣べ伝えるために、そこを立ち去られた。
11:2 さて、ヨハネは獄中でキリストのみわざについて伝え聞き、自分の弟子たちをつかわして、
11:3 イエスに言わせた、「『きたるべきかた』はあなたなのですか。それとも、ほかにだれかを待つべきでしょうか」。
11:4 イエスは答えて言われた、「行って、あなたがたが見聞きしていることをヨハネに報告しなさい。
11:5 盲人は見え、足なえは歩き、らい病人はきよまり、耳しいは聞え、死人は生きかえり、貧しい人々は福音を聞かされている。

11:4 イエスは答えて、彼らに言われた。「あなたがたは行って、自分たちの聞いたり見たりしていることをヨハネに報告しなさい。
11:5 盲人が見、足なえが歩き、らい病人がきよめられ、つんぼの人が聞こえ、死人が生き返り、貧しい者には福音が宣べ伝えられているのです。

11:4 イエスはお答えになった。「行って、見聞きしていることをヨハネに伝えなさい。
11:5 目の見えない人は見え、足の不自由な人は歩き、重い皮膚病を患っている人は清くなり、耳の聞こえない人は聞こえ、死者は生き返り、貧しい人は福音を告げ知らされている。

11:1 Now it came to pass,
when Jesus finished commanding His twelve disciples, that He departed from
there to teach and to preach in their cities.
11:2 And when John had
heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples
11:3 and said to Him,
"Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?"
11:4 Jesus answered and
said to them, "Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
11:5 "The blind see
and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are
raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

11:1 When Jesus finished
giving these instructions to his twelve disciples, he left that place and went
off to teach and preach in the towns near there.
11:2 When John the
Baptist heard in prison about the things that Christ was doing, he sent some of
his disciples to him.
11:3 "Tell us,"
they asked Jesus, "are you the one John said was going to come, or should
we expect someone else?"
11:4 Jesus answered,
"Go back and tell John what you are hearing and seeing:
11:5 the blind can see,
the lame can walk, those who suffer from dreaded skin diseases are made clean,
the deaf hear, the dead are brought back to life, and the Good News is preached
to the poor.
