12:5 また、安息日に宮仕えをしている祭司たちは安息日を破っても罪にはならないことを、律法で読んだことがないのか。
12:6 あなたがたに言っておく。宮よりも大いなる者がここにいる。
12:7 『わたしが好むのは、あわれみであって、いけにえではない』とはどういう意味か知っていたなら、あなたがたは罪のない者をとがめなかったであろう。
12:8 人の子は安息日の主である」。
12:9 イエスはそこを去って、彼らの会堂にはいられた。
12:10 すると、そのとき、片手のなえた人がいた。人々はイエスを訴えようと思って、「安息日に人をいやしても、さしつかえないか」と尋ねた。
12:11 イエスは彼らに言われた、「あなたがたのうちに、一匹の羊を持っている人があるとして、もしそれが安息日に穴に落ちこんだなら、手をかけて引き上げてやらないだろうか。
12:12 人は羊よりも、はるかにすぐれているではないか。だから、安息日に良いことをするのは、正しいことである」。
12:13 そしてイエスはその人に、「手を伸ばしなさい」と言われた。そこで手を伸ばすと、ほかの手のように良くなった。
12:14 パリサイ人たちは出て行って、なんとかしてイエスを殺そうと相談した。
12:15 イエスはこれを知って、そこを去って行かれた。ところが多くの人々がついてきたので、彼らを皆いやし、
12:16 そして自分のことを人々にあらわさないようにと、彼らを戒められた。
12:17 これは預言者イザヤの言った言葉が、成就するためである、
12:18 「見よ、わたしが選んだ僕、わたしの心にかなう、愛する者。わたしは彼にわたしの霊を授け、そして彼は正義を異邦人に宣べ伝えるであろう。
12:19 彼は争わず、叫ばず、またその声を大路で聞く者はない。
12:20 彼が正義に勝ちを得させる時まで、いためられた葦を折ることがなく、煙っている燈心を消すこともない。

12:10 すると、片手の萎えた人がいた。人々はイエスを訴えようと思って、「安息日に病気を治すのは、律法で許されていますか」と尋ねた。
12:11 そこで、イエスは言われた。「あなたたちのうち、だれか羊を一匹持っていて、それが安息日に穴に落ちた場合、手で引き上げてやらない者がいるだろうか。
12:12 人間は羊よりもはるかに大切なものだ。だから、安息日に善いことをするのは許されている。」
12:13 そしてその人に、「手を伸ばしなさい」と言われた。伸ばすと、もう一方の手のように元どおり良くなった。

temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?
12:6
"Yet I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the temple.
12:7
"But if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice,'
you would not have condemned the guiltless.
12:8
"For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."
12:9 Now
when He had departed from there, He went into their synagogue.
12:10 And
behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying,
"Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"-that they might accuse Him.
12:11
Then He said to them, "What man is there among you who has one sheep, and
if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?
12:12
"Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful
to do good on the Sabbath."
12:13
Then He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it
out, and it was restored as whole as the other.
12:14
Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy
Him.
12:15 But
when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him,
and He healed them all.
12:16 Yet
He warned them not to make Him known,
12:17
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:
12:18
"Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen,My Beloved in whom My soul is well
pleased!I will put My Spirit upon Him,And He will declare justice to the
Gentiles.
12:19 He
will not quarrel nor cry out,Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
12:20 A
bruised reed He will not break,And smoking flax He will not quench,Till He
sends forth justice to victory;
12:21 And
in His name Gentiles will trust."

have you not read in the Law of Moses that every Sabbath the priests in the
Temple actually break the Sabbath law, yet they are not guilty?
12:6 I
tell you that there is something here greater than the Temple.
12:7 The
scripture says, "It is kindness that I want, not animal sacrifices.' If
you really knew what this means, you would not condemn people who are not
guilty;
12:8 for
the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
12:9
Jesus left that place and went to a synagogue,
12:10
where there was a man who had a paralyzed hand. Some people were there who
wanted to accuse Jesus of doing wrong, so they asked him, "Is it against
our Law to heal on the Sabbath?"
12:11
Jesus answered, "What if one of you has a sheep and it falls into a deep
hole on the Sabbath? Will you not take hold of it and lift it out?
12:12 And
a human being is worth much more than a sheep! So then, our Law does allow us
to help someone on the Sabbath."
12:13
Then he said to the man with the paralyzed hand, "Stretch out your
hand." /He stretched it out, and it became well again, just like the other
one.
12:14
Then the Pharisees left and made plans to kill Jesus.
12:15
When Jesus heard about the plot against him, he went away from that place; and
large crowds followed him. He healed all the sick
12:16 and
gave them orders not to tell others about him.
12:17 He
did this so as to make come true what God had said through the prophet Isaiah:
12:18
"Here is my servant, whom I have chosen, /the one I love, and with whom I
am pleased. /I will send my Spirit upon him, /and he will announce my judgment
to the nations.
12:19 He
will not argue or shout, /or make loud speeches in the streets.
12:20 He
will not break off a bent reed, /nor put out a flickering lamp. /He will
persist until he causes justice to triumph,
12:21 and
on him all peoples will put their hope."
