17:1 六日ののち、イエスはペテロ、ヤコブ、ヤコブの兄弟ヨハネだけを連れて、高い山に登られた。
17:2 ところが、彼らの目の前でイエスの姿が変り、その顔は日のように輝き、その衣は光のように白くなった。
17:3 すると、見よ、モーセとエリヤが彼らに現れて、イエスと語り合っていた。
17:4 ペテロはイエスにむかって言った、「主よ、わたしたちがここにいるのは、すばらしいことです。もし、おさしつかえなければ、わたしはここに小屋を三つ建てましょう。一つはあなたのために、一つはモーセのために、一つはエリヤのために」。
17:5 彼がまだ話し終えないうちに、たちまち、輝く雲が彼らをおおい、そして雲の中から声がした、「これはわたしの愛する子、わたしの心にかなう者である。これに聞け」。
17:6 弟子たちはこれを聞いて非常に恐れ、顔を地に伏せた。
17:7 イエスは近づいてきて、手を彼らにおいて言われた、「起きなさい、恐れることはない」。
17:8 彼らが目をあげると、イエスのほかには、だれも見えなかった。

17:1 それから六日たって、イエスは、ペテロとヤコブとその兄弟ヨハネだけを連れて、高い山に導いて行かれた。
17:2 そして彼らの目の前で、御姿が変わり、御顔は太陽のように輝き、御衣は光のように白くなった。
17:3 しかも、モーセとエリヤが現われてイエスと話し合っているではないか。
17:4 すると、ペテロが口出ししてイエスに言った。「先生。私たちがここにいることは、すばらしいことです。もし、およろしければ、私が、ここに三つの幕屋を造ります。あなたのために一つ、モーセのために一つ、エリヤのために一つ。」
17:5 彼がまだ話している間に、見よ、光り輝く雲がその人々を包み、そして、雲の中から、「これは、わたしの愛する子、わたしはこれを喜ぶ。彼の言うことを聞きなさい。」という声がした。
17:6 弟子たちは、この声を聞くと、ひれ伏して非常にこわがった。
17:7 すると、イエスが来られて、彼らに手を触れ、「起きなさい。こわがることはない。」と言われた。
17:8 それで、彼らが目を上げて見ると、だれもいなくて、ただイエスおひとりだけであった。

17:5 ペトロがこう話しているうちに、光り輝く雲が彼らを覆った。すると、「これはわたしの愛する子、わたしの心に適う者。これに聞け」という声が雲の中から聞こえた。
17:6 弟子たちはこれを聞いてひれ伏し、非常に恐れた。
17:7 イエスは近づき、彼らに手を触れて言われた。「起きなさい。恐れることはない。」
17:8 彼らが顔を上げて見ると、イエスのほかにはだれもいなかった。

17:1 Now after six days
Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain
by themselves;
17:2 and He was
transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became
as white as the light.
17:3 And behold, Moses
and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
17:4 Then Peter answered
and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let
us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for
Elijah."
17:5 While he was still
speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came
out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well
pleased. Hear Him!"
17:6 And when the
disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid.
17:7 But Jesus came and
touched them and said, "Arise, and do not be afraid."
17:8 When they had lifted
up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.

17:1 Six days later Jesus
took with him Peter and the brothers James and John and led them up a high
mountain where they were alone.
17:2 As they looked on, a
change came over Jesus: his face was shining like the sun, and his clothes were
dazzling white.
17:3 Then the three
disciples saw Moses and Elijah talking with Jesus.
17:4 So Peter spoke up
and said to Jesus, "Lord, how good it is that we are here! If you wish, I
will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for
Elijah."
17:5 While he was
talking, a shining cloud came over them, and a voice from the cloud said,
"This is my own dear Son, with whom I am pleased-listen to him!"
17:6 When the disciples
heard the voice, they were so terrified that they threw themselves face
downward on the ground.
17:7 Jesus came to them
and touched them. "Get up," he said. "Don't be afraid!"
17:8 So they looked up
and saw no one there but Jesus.
