17:9 一同が山を下って来るとき、イエスは「人の子が死人の中からよみがえるまでは、いま見たことをだれにも話してはならない」と、彼らに命じられた。
17:10 弟子たちはイエスにお尋ねして言った、「いったい、律法学者たちは、なぜ、エリヤが先に来るはずだと言っているのですか」。
17:11 答えて言われた、「確かに、エリヤがきて、万事を元どおりに改めるであろう。
17:12 しかし、あなたがたに言っておく。エリヤはすでにきたのだ。しかし人々は彼を認めず、自分かってに彼をあしらった。人の子もまた、そのように彼らから苦しみを受けることになろう」。
17:13 そのとき、弟子たちは、イエスがバプテスマのヨハネのことを言われたのだと悟った。
17:14 さて彼らが群衆のところに帰ると、ひとりの人がイエスに近寄ってきて、ひざまずいて、言った、
17:15 「主よ、わたしの子をあわれんでください。てんかんで苦しんでおります。何度も何度も火の中や水の中に倒れるのです。
17:16 それで、その子をお弟子たちのところに連れてきましたが、なおしていただけませんでした」。
17:17 イエスは答えて言われた、「ああ、なんという不信仰な、曲った時代であろう。いつまで、わたしはあなたがたと一緒におられようか。いつまであなたがたに我慢ができようか。その子をここに、わたしのところに連れてきなさい」。
17:18 イエスがおしかりになると、悪霊はその子から出て行った。そして子はその時いやされた。

17:10 そこで、弟子たちは、イエスに尋ねて言った。「すると、律法学者たちが、まずエリヤが来るはずだと言っているのは、どうしてでしょうか。」
17:11 イエスは答えて言われた。「エリヤが来て、すべてのことを立て直すのです。
17:12 しかし、わたしは言います。エリヤはもうすでに来たのです。ところが彼らはエリヤを認めようとせず、彼に対して好き勝手なことをしたのです。人の子もまた、彼らから同じように苦しめられようとしています。」
17:13 そのとき、弟子たちは、イエスがバプテスマのヨハネのことを言われたのだと気づいた。
17:14 彼らが群衆のところに来たとき、ひとりの人がイエスのそば近くに来て、御前にひざまずいて言った。
17:15 「主よ。私の息子をあわれんでください。てんかんで、たいへん苦しんでおります。何度も何度も火の中に落ちたり、水の中に落ちたりいたします。
17:16 そこで、その子をお弟子たちのところに連れて来たのですが、直すことができませんでした。」
17:17 イエスは答えて言われた。「ああ、不信仰な、曲がった今の世だ。いつまであなたがたといっしょにいなければならないのでしょう。いつまであなたがたにがまんしていなければならないのでしょう。その子をわたしのところに連れて来なさい。」
17:18 そして、イエスがその子をおしかりになると、悪霊は彼から出て行き、その子はその時から直った。

17:14 一同が群衆のところへ行くと、ある人がイエスに近寄り、ひざまずいて、
17:15 言った。「主よ、息子を憐れんでください。てんかんでひどく苦しんでいます。度々火の中や水の中に倒れるのです。
17:16 お弟子たちのところに連れて来ましたが、治すことができませんでした。」
17:17 イエスはお答えになった。「なんと信仰のない、よこしまな時代なのか。いつまでわたしはあなたがたと共にいられようか。いつまで、あなたがたに我慢しなければならないのか。その子をここに、わたしのところに連れて来なさい。」
17:18 そして、イエスがお叱りになると、悪霊は出て行き、そのとき子供はいやされた。

17:9 Now as they came
down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, "Tell the vision to
no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead."
17:10 And His disciples
asked Him, saying, "Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come
first?"
17:11 Jesus answered and
said to them, "Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.
17:12 "But I say to
you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him
whatever they wished. Likewise the Son of Man is also about to suffer at their
hands."
17:13 Then the disciples
understood that He spoke to them of John the Baptist.
17:14 And when they had
come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying,
17:15 "Lord, have
mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often
falls into the fire and often into the water.
17:16 "So I brought
him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him."
17:17 Then Jesus answered
and said, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with
you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me."
17:18 And Jesus rebuked
the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.

17:9 As they came down
the mountain, Jesus ordered them, "Don't tell anyone about this vision you
have seen until the Son of Man has been raised from death."
17:10 Then the disciples
asked Jesus, "Why do the teachers of the Law say that Elijah has to come
first?"
17:11 "Elijah is
indeed coming first," answered Jesus, "and he will get everything
ready.
17:12 But I tell you that
Elijah has already come and people did not recognize him, but treated him just
as they pleased. In the same way they will also mistreat the Son of Man."
17:13 Then the disciples
understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.
17:14 When they returned
to the crowd, a man came to Jesus, knelt before him,
17:15 and said,
"Sir, have mercy on my son! He is an epileptic and has such terrible
attacks that he often falls in the fire or into water.
17:16 I brought him to
your disciples, but they could not heal him."
17:17 Jesus answered,
"How unbelieving and wrong you people are! How long must I stay with you?
How long do I have to put up with you? Bring the boy here to me!"
17:18 Jesus gave a
command to the demon, and it went out of the boy, and at that very moment he
was healed.
