17:18 イエスがおしかりになると、悪霊はその子から出て行った。そして子はその時いやされた。
17:19 それから、弟子たちがひそかにイエスのもとにきて言った、「わたしたちは、どうして霊を追い出せなかったのですか」。
17:20 するとイエスは言われた、「あなたがたの信仰が足りないからである。よく言い聞かせておくが、もし、からし種一粒ほどの信仰があるなら、この山にむかって『ここからあそこに移れ』と言えば、移るであろう。このように、あなたがたにできない事は、何もないであろう。
17:21 〔しかし、このたぐいは、祈と断食とによらなければ、追い出すことはできない〕」。

17:18 そして、イエスがその子をおしかりになると、悪霊は彼から出て行き、その子はその時から直った。
17:19 そのとき、弟子たちはそっとイエスのもとに来て、言った。「なぜ、私たちには悪霊を追い出せなかったのですか。」
17:20 イエスは言われた。「あなたがたの信仰が薄いからです。まことに、あなたがたに告げます。もし、からし種ほどの信仰があったら、この山に、『ここからあそこに移れ。』と言えば移るのです。どんなことでも、あなたがたにできないことはありません。

17:18 And Jesus rebuked
the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.
17:19 Then the disciples
came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?"
17:20 So Jesus said to
them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have
faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to
there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
17:21 "However, this
kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."

17:18 Jesus gave a
command to the demon, and it went out of the boy, and at that very moment he
was healed.
17:19 Then the disciples
came to Jesus in private and asked him, "Why couldn't we drive the demon
out?"
17:20 "It was
because you do not have enough faith," answered Jesus. "I assure you
that if you have faith as big as a mustard seed, you can say to this hill,
"Go from here to there!' and it will go. You could do anything!"
17:22 When the disciples
all came together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about
