18:1 そのとき、弟子たちがイエスのもとにきて言った、「いったい、天国ではだれがいちばん偉いのですか」。
18:2 すると、イエスは幼な子を呼び寄せ、彼らのまん中に立たせて言われた、
18:3 「よく聞きなさい。心をいれかえて幼な子のようにならなければ、天国にはいることはできないであろう。
18:4 この幼な子のように自分を低くする者が、天国でいちばん偉いのである。
18:5 また、だれでも、このようなひとりの幼な子を、わたしの名のゆえに受けいれる者は、わたしを受けいれるのである。
18:6 しかし、わたしを信ずるこれらの小さい者のひとりをつまずかせる者は、大きなひきうすを首にかけられて海の深みに沈められる方が、その人の益になる。
18:7 この世は、罪の誘惑があるから、わざわいである。罪の誘惑は必ず来る。しかし、それをきたらせる人は、わざわいである。
18:8 もしあなたの片手または片足が、罪を犯させるなら、それを切って捨てなさい。両手、両足がそろったままで、永遠の火に投げ込まれるよりは、片手、片足になって命に入る方がよい。

18:1 そのとき、弟子たちがイエスのところに来て言った。「それでは、天の御国では、だれが一番偉いのでしょうか。」
18:2 そこで、イエスは小さい子どもを呼び寄せ、彼らの真中に立たせて、
18:3 言われた。「まことに、あなたがたに告げます。あなたがたも悔い改めて子どもたちのようにならない限り、決して天の御国には、はいれません。
18:4 だから、この子どものように、自分を低くする者が、天の御国で一番偉い人です。
18:5 また、だれでも、このような子どものひとりを、わたしの名のゆえに受け入れる者は、わたしを受け入れるのです。
18:6 しかし、わたしを信じるこの小さい者たちのひとりにでもつまずきを与えるような者は、大きい石臼を首にかけられて、湖の深みでおぼれ死んだほうがましです。
18:7 つまずきを与えるこの世は忌まわしいものです。つまずきが起こることは避けられないが、つまずきをもたらす者は忌まわしいものです。
18:8 もし、あなたの手か足の一つがあなたをつまずかせるなら、それを切って捨てなさい。片手片足でいのちにはいるほうが、両手両足そろっていて永遠の火に投げ入れられるよりは、あなたにとってよいことです。

18:2 そこで、イエスは一人の子供を呼び寄せ、彼らの中に立たせて、
18:3 言われた。「はっきり言っておく。心を入れ替えて子供のようにならなければ、決して天の国に入ることはできない。
18:4 自分を低くして、この子供のようになる人が、天の国でいちばん偉いのだ。
18:5 わたしの名のためにこのような一人の子供を受け入れる者は、わたしを受け入れるのである。」
◆罪への誘惑
18:6 「しかし、わたしを信じるこれらの小さな者の一人をつまずかせる者は、大きな石臼を首に懸けられて、深い海に沈められる方がましである。
18:7 世は人をつまずかせるから不幸だ。つまずきは避けられない。だが、つまずきをもたらす者は不幸である。
18:8 もし片方の手か足があなたをつまずかせるなら、それを切って捨ててしまいなさい。両手両足がそろったまま永遠の火に投げ込まれるよりは、片手片足になっても命にあずかる方がよい。

18:1 At that time the
disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of
heaven?"
18:2 Then Jesus called a
little child to Him, set him in the midst of them,
18:3 and said,
"Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little
children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
18:4 "Therefore
whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of
heaven.
18:5 "Whoever
receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.
18:6 "But whoever
causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better
for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the
depth of the sea.
18:7 "Woe to the
world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom
the offense comes!
18:8 "If your hand
or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for
you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two
feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire.

18:1 At that time the
disciples came to Jesus, asking, "Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of
heaven?"
18:2 So Jesus called a
child to come and stand in front of them,
18:3 and said, "I
assure you that unless you change and become like children, you will never
enter the Kingdom of heaven.
18:4 The greatest in the
Kingdom of heaven is the one who humbles himself and becomes like this child.
18:5 And whoever welcomes
in my name one such child as this, welcomes me.
18:6 "If anyone
should cause one of these little ones to lose his faith in me, it would be
better for that person to have a large millstone tied around his neck and be
drowned in the deep sea.
18:7 How terrible for the
world that there are things that make people lose their faith! Such things will
always happen-but how terrible for the one who causes them!
18:8 "If your hand
or your foot makes you lose your faith, cut it off and throw it away! It is
better for you to enter life without a hand or a foot than to keep both hands
and both feet and be thrown into the eternal fire.
