21:18 朝はやく都に帰るとき、イエスは空腹をおぼえられた。
21:19 そして、道のかたわらに一本のいちじくの木があるのを見て、そこに行かれたが、ただ葉のほかは何も見当らなかった。そこでその木にむかって、「今から後いつまでも、おまえには実がならないように」と言われた。すると、いちじくの木はたちまち枯れた。
21:20 弟子たちはこれを見て、驚いて言った、「いちじくがどうして、こうすぐに枯れたのでしょう」。
21:21 イエスは答えて言われた、「よく聞いておくがよい。もしあなたがたが信じて疑わないならば、このいちじくにあったようなことが、できるばかりでなく、この山にむかって、動き出して海の中にはいれと言っても、そのとおりになるであろう。
21:22 また、祈のとき、信じて求めるものは、みな与えられるであろう」。

21:18 翌朝、イエスは都に帰る途中、空腹を覚えられた。
21:19 道ばたにいちじくの木が見えたので、近づいて行かれたが、葉のほかは何もないのに気づかれた。それで、イエスはその木に「おまえの実は、もういつまでも、ならないように。」と言われた。すると、たちまちいちじくの木は枯れた。
21:20 弟子たちは、これを見て、驚いて言った。「どうして、こうすぐにいちじくの木が枯れたのでしょうか。」
21:21 イエスは答えて言われた。「まことに、あなたがたに告げます。もし、あなたがたが、信仰を持ち、疑うことがなければ、いちじくの木になされたようなことができるだけでなく、たとい、この山に向かって、『動いて、海にはいれ。』と言っても、そのとおりになります。
21:22 あなたがたが信じて祈り求めるものなら、何でも与えられます。」

21:21 イエスはお答えになった。「はっきり言っておく。あなたがたも信仰を持ち、疑わないならば、いちじくの木に起こったようなことができるばかりでなく、この山に向かい、『立ち上がって、海に飛び込め』と言っても、そのとおりになる。
21:22 信じて祈るならば、求めるものは何でも得られる。」

21:18 Now in the morning,
as He returned to the city, He was hungry.
21:19 And seeing a fig
tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to
it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree
withered away.
21:20 And when the
disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, "How did the fig tree wither away
so soon?"
21:21 So Jesus answered
and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not
doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say
to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done.
21:22 "And whatever
things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

21:18 On his way back to
the city early next morning, Jesus was hungry.
21:19 He saw a fig tree
by the side of the road and went to it, but found nothing on it except leaves.
So he said to the tree, "You will never again bear fruit!" At once
the fig tree dried up.
21:20 The disciples saw
this and were astounded. "How did the fig tree dry up so quickly?"
they asked.
21:21 Jesus answered,
"I assure you that if you believe and do not doubt, you will be able to do
what I have done to this fig tree. And not only this, but you will even be able
to say to this hill, "Get up and throw yourself in the sea,' and it will.
21:22 If you believe, you
will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
