12:1 わたしは誇らずにいられません。誇っても無益ですが、主が見せてくださった事と啓示してくださった事について語りましょう。

12:2 わたしは、キリストに結ばれていた一人の人を知っていますが、その人は十四年前、第三の天にまで引き上げられたのです。体のままか、体を離れてかは知りません。神がご存じです。

12:3 わたしはそのような人を知っています。体のままか、体を離れてかは知りません。神がご存じです。

12:4 彼は楽園にまで引き上げられ、人が口にするのを許されない、言い表しえない言葉を耳にしたのです。

12:1 I have to boast, even though it doesn't do any good. But I will now talk about visions and revelations given me by the Lord.

12:2 I know a certain Christian man who fourteen years ago was snatched up to the highest heaven (I do not know whether this actually happened or whether he had a vision-only God knows).

12:3 -4 I repeat, I know that this man was snatched to Paradise (again, I do not know whether this actually happened or whether it was a vision-only God knows), and there he heard things which cannot be put into words, things that human lips may not speak.
